Gibraltar SC-4248 Speed Key

I've owned many drum keys over the years, including the fancy Ludwig ratchet keys, but this is the one I always reach for when it comes time to replace heads, or tune a drum. It speeds up the job, and provides good leverage. One thing drummers should be aware of when using this key... the leverage it provides will allow you to over-tighten a drum head. If you are not careful, you can split the head, damage the hoop, and possibly damage the drum from over-tightening. However, once you get the feel for this key, you won't want to go back to a standard style key again.

Giralter is a well known name in drum accessories. This key does not disapoint. It gave me the leverage I needed to finally secure a high-hat that liked to let go. It's a solid chunk of metal that will last forever. Highly recommend.

This drum key is great for loosening and tightening the lugs on drums. Makes the process of changing heads super fast. I thought heck it works so well what does it taste like? So I licked it. Turns out, it just tastes like metal, which makes sense because it is metal. At the time I thought that was pretty deep, but I was also high af, now I wonder if tasting it was just stupid. But metal rules SLAAAAYER!!!!

I like having Gibraltar's speed key in my arsenal of drum accessories. It makes changing heads a much quicker process. I don't use it to tune, though. Tuning takes time and patience. The speed key is destined for swapping drum heads. The only issue with this key is that it's a little too loose on the tension rod, so if you aren't careful, it'll slip off if you go too fast. It's a minor inconvenience, but one that should be noted. A great key for the price.

This thing is an absolute beast. Worked perfect for my digital drum set. Last one broke and didn’t have the awesome swivel design as this one. This one gets the drums nice and tight without breaking.

This is extremely heavy duty, high quality, precision made, speed drum key. You would have a very hard time breaking it. Solid heavy metal with a high polish chrome finish. Has a very smooth spin on the spinner knob. It is almost as fast as a drill bit drum key.

I used it to change and turn the drum heads in my marching band. Makes the process much easier and faster then using a traditionally designed drum key. I highly recommend to any band directors/leaders or even drummer who knows how to (actually) change/tune their drum heads

The key didn’t even fit any of my Toms or my snare drum. The quality is alright.

Utilissima per svitare più velocemente. Lo stesso dicasi per riavvitare nella prima fase di accordatura delle pelli. Personalmente ne utilizzo due contemporaneamente. Qualità/prezzo ottimi.

Great, very speedy changing heads now! also its great for annoying people as when u spin it at a certain speed it makes a really high pitched noise which is funny. Could probably oil it though. Great accessory though but it would be better to have a normal key as well as this for precision.

Great key that makes swapping heads out a lot more painless.
