What are the best coffee beans as the recommended ones seem to leak fine coffee into the water?

Hello there, Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. We're always trying to improve our products and really appreciate our customers' input and satisfaction. What grind size have you been using? For our RJ3 Cold Brew Maker, we recommend a coarse grind level. However, please understand some finer grounds seeping through the filter is inevitable as the filter holes must big enough for the best brewing. What you may try to eliminate this is using an extra coarse ground. Or before filling up your cold brew maker with water, shake and rotate the filter with the coffee grounds in it to allow for the smaller finer grinds to come out first. As for specific beans, it depends on your flavor & taste preferences. If you're more into dark roast, we'd recommend Stone Street Coffee - Cold Brew Reserve, Best for Sweet Lovers - Bizzy Cold Brew, and Cold Brew Lab Coffee beans. If you like more floral notes, then we'd recommend Stone Street Coffee - Ethiopian Yirgacheffe or Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC, Ethiopian Sidamo Guji Coffee. Hope that helps. Can you brew tea in this too? I assume it would need to be loose leaves

Can't see why not, either loose or in bags - the centre cylinder is a filter and that is plunged into the water, so it'll work with both!

Recommended ground coffee to compliment product

The Taylor cocoa Columbia is beautiful with it, if you want a darker richer coffee though Amazon's own Columbia and a cream espresso are also really nice however I would personally say grind your own beans and pre ground can sometimes be a bit too fine
