I used to buy Sulmet at my local feed store - until they stopped carrying it! Grrrrr! So, as with so many other things I need, but can't find locally, I was forced to look online. As expected, Amazon had it! And it was cheaper than I paid at the feed store! I raise chickens, and Sulmet is the only medicine I know of that will prevent or cure Coccidiosis, and a few other diseases in chickens (I think it will work with other farm animals - cattle, pigs, turkeys, but I don't have any experience with that - just with chickens). It is a sulfur based drug. This stuff has saved the life of my favorite chicken as well as countless others. It's a must have for anyone who raises chickens. Keep it on hand - just in case!

Boy did I need this. We got sucked into the Easter hype for baby chickens and bought 52 thinking that with as fragile as baby chicks are we may lose a few. Boy when one of the chicks began to poop blood we knew we were in for some issues. We lost 11 before finding out that coccidia was the perpetrator and ordered this product. By that time we had more that were already sick with this junk so when we got our sulmet in we immediately gave this to the babies but lost down to 27 chicks total. I don't believe that if we wouldn't have had this in their little systems when we did that we would have lost the whole lot of them. Now they are big and flapping around their new out door pen and coup. Thanks Sulmet.

I purchased this to put in my chicken water to keep them from getting nasty resporatory illness. I had been told to get Corid but I couldn't find it so I ordered this. I put the reccommended dosage in thier water for about a week as a preventative measure, as it has been cold, wet and nasty around here. Both chickens were dead within a month. I rated it four stars because I am not a chicken doctor and could have misdiagnosed the problem.

Great product, I keep some on hand all the time. Grandson has chickens and I have used it in my dogs water also.As usual, shipment was quick and on time, packaged well, and as described.Will be buying again!!John Taylor

Worked at first helping to clear up some of the respiratory problems. But effectiveness seemed to wear off after a few weeks. Went back to just plain gatoraide in the water, now they are getting better.

I've been raising baby chicks for years and I always use this (about a capful in a quart of water) in my baby chicks water for the first couple of days to protect against Coccidiosis which baby chicks are prone to. I also live on a dairy farm and we use this to treat calves for bacterial pneumonia and for bacterial diarrhea. It's handy on the farm to just add this to the sick calf's bottle milk.I'd highly recommend for animal keepers, farmers and for preventative use in baby chicks.

Easy to use and effective. Cleared up a bout of coccidiosis in my goat buckling very quickly. Works very fast and dosing is easy enough. Definitely a must-have product for the farm medicine chest.
