Excellent upgrade for our cabinets! 5 stars!
It's been a while since I've been so satisfied with an online purchase. This is the kind of product that I will suggest to a stranger when I come across a fixture that hasn't been upgraded yet.I have a dozen 'hockey puck' cabinet lights that had the dangerously hot 20 watt xenon bulbs that you are supposed to wear gloves when handling, etc. = old technology. These LEDs are today's technology:I was spending 240 watts an hour to light my cabinets, or about a kilowatt in one evening. At 36 watts an hour this only costs me about 150 watts in one evening. In other words, what I used to spend in one night is now about what I spend for a week. What I like ~• Warm light and yet, still bright enough to make the lead crystal sparkle• Far less heat getting trapped in the cabinets. In fact, I've removed the tempered glass from the hockey pucks to allow for better cooling of the LEDs.• The disc of LEDs throws light at a wider angle than the original bulbs. What I do not like ~ (nothing to complain about)• I suppose a larger bulk size with a better per-lamp price would have been nice but that's nothing to deduct a star over.

LED Replacement for Halogen Bulbs
Although we liked the task-area illumination provided by the hockey puck under-cabinet fixtures, the bulbs burned out more frequently than one would hope. Replacement bulbs were pricey, plus somewhat difficult to install, due to the 18 inch clearance between the underside of the cabinets and the countertops. After researching online, I found the Gaomee G8 LED dimmable bulbs which are equivalent to 20W - 25W halogen bulbs while only using 3W of power. These mini thin bulbs are a suitable replacement for halogen in the puck lights while providing warm white light. We couldn’t be happier with these replacement bulbs which are less expensive, seem to provide more light, use less power, and should last a whole lot longer than the halogen bulbs. I would definitely recommend these bulbs to anyone looking for an alternative to halogen bulbs.

Work like a charm.
These worked for the most part better than I had hoped. They fit in the puck light well and the glass cover fit over with no problem. They dim fine, no flicker with my original dimmer switch which is about 10 years old and came with my kitchen. There is one quirky thing which isn't so bad. They don't seem to reach full brightness (or dimness) unless I leave at least one of the old xenon bulbs installed. It doesn't matter if I have just one or seven or eight of these lights installed if there is no Xenon (or I assume halogen) bulb in the bulbs only get to about 3/4 brightness. And when they dim they only go down to about 15 or maybe 20% brightness. If I just put one Xenon bulb back in then they get much brighter and when dimmed are almost (not completely) off. Flick the the on/off switch to off and they are all the way off no matter. I was thinking that the 3/4 brightness might be enough but decided to leave one of the old bulbs in on the far end of the counter - kind of separate from the rest - to give me more flexibility. I don't know but expect an upgraded dimmer switch might take care of this as well but there are two other switches and a birds nest of wiring back there and don't think I want to mess with it. Much improved overall. Color is not quite as cool as the original but still not bad. Again better than I expected. They are just as difficult as the originals to get in the socket. No surprise. I did squeeze the pins just ever so slightly on each one to help them line up. Will see how they last and update if there are any problems in the future.

Good value, but not quite warm white and flicker in my fixtures.
With 1hr of runtime:Installed in under-cabinet lighting.Pros: Feels like great quality, small enough to easily fit in the fixture. Bright. Priced right.Cons:At 3000k color temperature, I wouldn't call these warm white and they appear cool/blue to the eye compared to other "warm white" bulbs I have, and the original xenon bulbs. Not flicker-free in my fixtures. I have a 2-setting switch. On high, color combined with the brightness makes them too bright. On low, the lights flicker terribly.+2 Low-cost+1 Small size to fit in all fixtures+1 Bright for size+1 Feels like good quality for what they are-1 Not Warm White-1 Not dimming/flicker-free for everyone, they flicker in my fixtures3-stars with the caveat that you plan on using them at full brightness, or are willing to spend time and money playing with dimmer switches in the hopes of eliminating the flicker.Disclaimer: THERE IS NO DISCLAIMER. I paid full price for this product. Even if I hadn't, I'd tell you and it wouldn't change my opinions. Don't believe me? Look at my other reviews. I've been given free stuff that only gets 2 or 3 stars, and don't get much free stuff anymore as a result:). Don't trust anyone with a bunch of 5-star reviews for free stuff.

great replacement for puck lights under kitchen cabinets
This is the second time I order these led lights for my cabinets and they are the best, lasted several years and work perfectly and are super bright.

To have quality lights that work properly which they do not
I installed 12 of these light bulbs in kitchen puck lights. The brightness and color is fine but they only work properly when I install just one halogen bulb in one fixture. If I take out that one halogen bulb and reinstall the new led bulb all12 puck lights will light so dimly you cannot even see if there on and of course will not dim or even shut off.I also installed a brand new Lutron dimmer switch which is made to dim led, incandescent, and cfL bulbs. So if I want all these new bulbs to work properly I have to leave one halogen bulb in one of the fixtures. But now that means that one halogen bulb is much of a yellow cast of light which does not match the other eleven lights. Very very disappointing !!!
