Slides are annoying
While I do like my Seneye sensor in my pond - the slides is the downside.You need a new slide every month. The slide needs to be submerged in the pond water 24 before using it. And you need the "activation" code for each slide to "activate" it. The activation code is "not" bound to the actual slide. It is just a "subscription" option. And each slide only works for 30 days.The slides are not precise.And with only 30 days of "slide work time" it makes it really hard to go on vacation. So in effect if. you want to go on 3 week vacation - you are most likely FORCED to replace a slide just before you leave. Else the slide will run out during the holiday. So that means throwing out a perfectly good slide with "time left" on it.There is not an electronics excuse (hardware) for not being able to make a longer lasting sensor slide that still measure precisely (enough) for even Koi to stay happy.The whole Seneye system is beginning to look quite outdated.
