LeapFrog My Pal Violet

I first bought Violet for my 9 month old daughter 5yrs ago for Christmas. She has loved this toy so much, it is by her bed every night playing bedtime music, we even have to pack it when we go on vacation! Like I said we have had it for almost 5 yrs and have never had a problem with it. It does require batteries but it doesn't drain them very quickly like some toys can. I'd say that we go months without having to change the battery and the toy gets daily use. When my now 3 yr old was born I bought her a Scout toy of her own, and same story she loves it! I personalized these when both girls were very young and now that they are older and have opinions on favorite color, food and animal I can go in and update those. And if they change their minds again it's very easy to do. I just bought Scout again as a baby gift for my new nephew only to find that it has been improved from the older versions my daughters have. Previously you had to use a PC with a USB port and download the software to personalize Scout. Now Scout comes with a 'headphones" connector that can be plugged right in to an iPad or iPhone and the personalization process is even faster and easier! It even has an easy to open flap on the back of the package so that it can be personalized and given as a gift without having to remove Scout from its original packaging! I think this is brilliant, they really thought of everything! I would give this toy 10 stars if I could! There aren't many toys that will keep a child's interest for 5yrs and going! I hope that my nephew loves it as much as my daughters have.

Beautiful, looking purple puppy named Violet. It is listed for ages six months plus. You can program it right in the box with your child’s name, and it will teach the child’s how to spell their name. Contains many activities, bedtime, lullabies, activities to entertain your child and teach the alphabet numbers and how to spell your child’s name. You can program it right in the box with your child’s favorite color and favorite things. It’s a large plush toy the child can also cuddle with, and it grows with the child as a child learns. Very good quality item and I would definitely recommend.

There are so many things to love about the my pal. We purchased violet for our daughter. Personalizing was super easy. We were able to program her name, which is uncommon but found through a different spelling, same annunciation, and allowed us to correct spelling so it played properly for my daughter (and for the Littles who have very uncommon name, they do allow you to personalize with a nickname). Programming was easy, you went to the leapfrog site, select your child's name, favorite food, color and animal, hook up through audio jack to your phone, tablet or pc, follow the steps (4 total) and Viola! Took me 5 minutes. It's very interactive. Spells your child's name, includes name on songs and questions, and as they grow you can change their favorites through the site. Violet is sweet and soft, with lullabye settings allowing for 5, 10 or 15 minutes of song time. I recommend this pup for any child. It quickly became my daughters favorite, and considering the price one of her least expensive toys! The only thing I found difficult was getting the battery/boyce box into the pup and sealing it shut, just took a little patience.

This is a very cool toy. Not like any other stuffed talking toy your child has ever owned. You can plug this into your computer and program it specifically to your child. Even their name. My daughters name is Myla so we can never find anything personalized for her (or our other kids). It says on the box that you can personalize it to say and spell your child's name and I figured there would be a list of names to choose from and you picked your child's from the list (and I didn't figure that they would have Myla). I was wrong. I plugged it right into our computer and typed out her name. it pronounced it first and you could try a nick name if it didn't sound like your child's name. I was shocked at how easy this was for me. You can also program her favorite color and food. I wish you could pick from more than one food. It is very easy to reconnect and modify as it "grows" with your child. But a lot of little toddlers only eat their few favorite foods. My daughter was so surprised that this toy knew her name and her favorite food. it is also nice for her to take to bed as she still falls asleep with her music box on and this can play up to 10 min. of bedtime music! we are really happy with this toy. there is nothing else on the market like it and it is well worth the money (inexpensive).

The media could not be loaded. Such a cute stuffed toy. It's at the perfect volume not too high not too low. Very interactive with child. You can also program it with the app. The animal is soft. Very easy to turn it on and to turn it off. Easy to switch from music to night time etc. This toy introduces words feelings / emotions, counting,colors. Very cute songs and lullabies. Perfect for day and night. You can personalize this toy to your child. Can introduce the child's name. So far my 7-month-old is able to play with this toy and snuggle with it. It's easy for her to squeeze the paws and to make it sing or talk. Highly recommend this toy for learning. We'll continue to buy toys from LeapFrog. They always have high quality toys for learning
