I just wanted to write a review for us bigger girls. I did not see any as I was reviewing this product. I loved this! I got it 2 weeks postpartum and it worked. I ordered a size large and I was at the max for inches. When I put it on the first time I did have to lay down as it was to small at first. I would have loved to have the problem where it got to big and I would have to buy the next size down but I didn't. I still love the results I got. In the first two days I noticed a difference. Yes, it is uncomfortable but worth it. I slept with it on, If you can handle it do it! Everywhere I went friends and family told me I looked great and didn't even look like I had a baby. Is that not the best thing you want to hear after having a baby!? That was so important because I'm already big so still having the rounded belly is not cool at all. I still wore it for another 2 weeks not all the time but alternating with shapewear and It seriously lifted my saggy after baby skin. So, I didn't have the pregnant look and my saggy skin was lifted believe me It's worth it.

I love the first belly bandit that I got for right after the birth. I wore it every day and it was wonderful. I didn't have one after my first kid and it felt like my guts were gonna fall out of me every time I stood up. This time with the belly bandit it was much easier to stand up straight even right after birth. Also my uterus contracted back to normal size in RECORD speed- my midwife was impressed. My stomach also shrunk much faster and I am pleased with the results. Once I shrank down to the smallest the first BB would go, I decided to get the next size down (extra small). This was a mistake. Even though the small is now too large, it was time to give up and go for their corset. The extra small just rolls up on itself and causes me to look all lumpy from outside my clothes so I can't really wear it anywhere besides the house, and the way it scrunches up is uncomfortable.

I am shocked by all of the low ratings for this product! I began wearing this garment approximately 24 hours after I gave birth (I was too sore to put it on right away). I gained 18-20 lbs during my pregnancy, and lost all of that weight within a week and a half. Now, I will say that a healthy diet and exercise have been a large part of my pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and post-pregnancy plans, but there is no doubt that this item has helped my waist and stomach shrink back down to my pre-pregnancy size very quickly. I love how it gently waist cinches and works with my hormones to shape my torso. I find the garment to be very comfortable and try to wear it 24/7 (other than when I bathe, of course); I even sleep in it, that's how comfortable it is. I love how it holds my core in nice and tight, but not too tight, and provides support for my back, which helps with my posture. I plan on wearing it for 8-12 weeks.

I'm still pregnant so I haven't "worn" this yet but wanted to at least start a review because I think there may be serious sizing issues. I went to the Belly Bandit website and used their size calculator. I entered my measurements for 33 weeks and it said get an XL. I entered the same measurements for 34 weeks and it said large. I did both weeks because there is some discrepancies with my due date. I ended up ordering the large, thinking that it's better to be a little tight than too large, especially given how quickly I'll shrink after the baby is here...well the large came and it's huge! I'm 35 (or 36) weeks and I can actually wear it! So even ordering down when in between sizes is clearly not enough. I imagine this will work for about a week and then I'll need the medium. I'll update once we get there, but heads up, even if you are at the tip top of a size range, you still may benefit from ordering another size down... 8/9/16 Update: My suspicions were right - I was only able to wear this for about a week before it was just ridiculously too large. If you are between sizes, or on the lower end of a size, I personally would recommend going down a size, especially if you want it for more than just a few days after birth. On the up side, I did find that those first few days when it DID fit, it helped with that "hollow" feeling you sometimes get while standing after a delivery. I also have diastasis recti and found it helpful in giving me a little support while standing to cook meals, etc. This was not comfortable when sitting - it would just dig into my ribs, sides, hips, etc. Fine while standing, but sitting was awful.

Most of the advertisements for this product emphasize how small and beautiful you'll feel/look after/while wearing this product. The truth is, after having a baby, you're likely going to need the support. My ab muscles, after labor/delivery, were so worn out that I couldn't stand up straight after delivery. It took me a day or so to get around to pulling this out of the box because I was sitting/laying down most of my early week+ of recovery. *However* Once I put this thing on, I could finally stand up straight! I had the support I needed for walking around, and that was such a relief! I do think it helped my abs heal "back" where they needed to be. If you're curvy, like me, it's gonna bunch up in the back. I managed to get mine to fold over into one big fold, and that made it okay. Most of my friends who have tried it have had the same problem. Also, most of my friends and I needed more than one size. I needed the original size the first week (or so) and then after that I needed a smaller size. Some friends have had success sewing additional velcro to it to extend the usability of the first one. Others (like me) just bought a second size... 'cause it was easier (who wants to pull out the sewing machine when you're baby is 2wks old?)

i was so excited to get to order this while i was still pregnant, and planned to use it from the day of birth thru 6 or 8 weeks. i was QUITE disappointed when it was FAR from fitting me at the hospital. i ordered a cheaper abdominal binder off amazon after a few days of the BB still not fitting me. it was great- 4 days later i was able to get in to the BB and i was excited to switch. i've been wearing the BB for 3 days now and i am still quite disappointed in it. it bunches and rides up my back (making it completely noticable under even jeans and a tshirt), its incredibly uncomfortable (more so than just squishing all my insides LOL), i'm constantly pulling it down and almost have to re-do it every time i sit/stand up. i will say that it does seem to be working w/ the squishing the belly back down, but so did the much cheaper alternative (and it was actually semi-comfortable). i would definitely recommend the cheaper belt over this one to any of my friends.

I used this product in 2012 with my second child and swore by it. That one was very structured and made me feel pulled together, stable and was comfortable. THIS ONE IS NOT THAT. It did not fit the same way, creased after the first time wearing it and was not only painful to wear but did not make me feel like it was really doing much of anything after the first week because it was so bent out of shape and flimsy. I had high hopes of this product after the success I had with the product that existed a decade ago- but the quality has gone down significantly and I was very disappointed.

This is my second time buying and using this exact belly band. First time I bought it in-person from BuyBuyBaby, but where I live now doesn’t have one so I chanced buying it here on Amazon and was so relieved and happy when I seen the product was exactly the same! Phew! I was glad to have it the first time around, started using it the day baby was out, so it was a must have for baby #2. I originally ordered the wrong size (they run bigger than I remember) so I had to order a new one quick and return the one I had, second one came in within a couple days (I am not a prime member), and after a week of returning the first one, I got the notification that I was being refunded, by this time I already got my second one (the right size this time) so it all worked out perfectly! Quality is just as great as I remember it so I’m confident I’ll get the support and results I did first time around.

The colours in the photograph selection do not match up to the text. I’ve ended up ordering the wrong colour as a result. Very annoying.

Wife wasn't able to use as it was too stiff/not comfortable. She was able to get the correct size (closed just enough) but it was too hurts to wear under her rib cage and difficult to sit with.

This product really works! I bought mine 5 days post partum and wear it 8-12 hours a day. Within 2 days I could already see a difference. I feel well supported and it’s comfortable to wear for long periods. Another good point Is that so far I don’t have any unsightly loose skin- which I attribute to this product. It can slide upwards so I have to readjust it a couple of times. I’d also advise buying a size bigger. Using the measuring tool on their website I was a small (I’m currently size 10, was size 8 before baby), however this was too small, so I needed to use a medium Size for 10 days before switching to the smaller size.
