Unparalleled optic for 0 to 500 yards
This is a magnified optic that you can take out of the box (case) mount on your rifle with no other mounting accessories required, sight in quickly and have all of the close range target acquisition speed of a red dot with the benefit of a magnified optic with built-in bullet drop compensator easily getting you on target out to 500+ yards. It sounds too good to be true but it is true. These ACOGs are very ruggedly built, have surprisingly clear glass and require no batteries to operate day or night. I find it amusing that some competitors count this as a negative--that you would have to send the optic back to Trijicon in 15 YEARS! to have the tritium replaced. I would take that any day over having to carry spare batteries or worry about the integrity of electronics exposed to temperature and repeated shock--no thanks. If you have older eyes and shoot past 100 yards this is a great solution. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of the Aimpoint Red Dot sights and quality knock-offs for short distances but if you are like me and have older eyes, shooting past 200 yards with a red dot is just not fun. Sure you could add a magnifier but now you are using a lot of rail space, adding significant weight and introducing additional points of failure. It is not my intention to say how great this ACOG is by bashing another product. This sight stands on its own perfectly with its rugged design, clear glass, excellent choice of reticles and any lighting operations w/o depending on a battery. If there is a better optic out there that gives you very quick close-range target acquisition and longer range magnification with a combat accurate bullet drop compensator, I am not aware of it at ANY price. If you buy this optic you will continue to be impressed with its performance with no disappointments. That's a guarantee!

Acog 3x30
It's an acog what else to say, crisp super clear glass, fiber optic is bright and crisp, tritium is great not to bright that its over powering, but not to dim to loose the reticle even if looking at a lighted or bright object, bore sighted in under 3 min, took to the range and had it dialed in 15 min at 200 yrds hitting 1 to 1 1/2 groups with a mini 14 all day long, I own several acog's and this one is just as good as the others only down side is........ Accessories are more pricey for this compared to ta31, quick release mount and ard are very expensive for this optic why? Couldn't tell you. Other then that amazing optic, from and amazing company with excellent customer service!

Great optic. Only issue I've had is reticle blooming (where the reticle is too bright, similar to when a red dot sight is turned up high enough to have streamers) in very bright sunlight. Made an improvised Velcro cover to take on, off and partially obscure and no issues whatsoever since.
