Extech BR200 Video Borescope/Wireless Inspection Camera with 3-Foot Extension

I found the camera easy to set up and use. I found that more light is needed to make videos and pictures better. I taped a small flashlight to the end. That helped the image a little, but hurt the access. (needed a bigger hole in wall, more room to get around in the engine compartment, etc). I'm sure I will find uses for this camera. The case is very nice to house it in and keep it safe. I really was hoping for a crisp, clear image that would produce a clear print. Not happening so far, but I will keep practicing with the unit.

Not perfect, but very good. Camera lighting is a little weak but works well if close to objects of interest. Cable is quite stiff which permits a long unsupported cantilever but clumsy going around short radius corners. Resolution is good - enough to read markings on electrical cable. Does not have image rotation function, but it is easy enough to rotate the display if it is removed from the handle.

Only focuses to 4 inches or so. Could use a closer focusing range for close-in work. Otherwise, works well and is very handy for hard to reach areas.

I have used this several times now. This is the best bang for the buck. I have used many kinds and brands of these at work and you would have to spend 3x or more to get to the next performance level.

Excellent equipment at a great price

For the price this bore scope has a few mice features, but it is not as handy to use as I would have thought. If you are looking at something in the dark, and the object is also dark, good luck. I tried inspecting the seams inside a small charred oak barrel and it was practically useless. Maybe that was expecting too much though, they are dark inside, and the interior walls are also quite dark so the resolution just wasn't very good.

Amazing

The pictures taken with this device are terrible and do not resemble the advertisement on it, it will not focus correctly and you will experience downloading of data issues too. The built in light does not produce near enough light no mater how fresh the battery's..Just wish I had not forgotten about the 30 day return policy, I tried to send it back on the 30th day, of course they will not return your money then!
