That sticking-out bit is GENIUS engineering!Ok, I ken that this WEIRD looking pillow is pricey and... looks weird as all get-out. BUT IT WORKS !!I'm finally not waking up multiple times all night with neck pain!I've been struggling now for years with awful neck pain and even all manner of pinched-nerve pain up along my skull behind my left ear. Headaches constantly! My neck cracking and snapping... a nightmare and daymare!This pillow FEELS as weird as it looks and it took me a solid week to get used to that sticky-out bit that supports the neck and prevents the "rounded shoulders" issue, but even during that week I noticed a sharp reduction in neck pain AND that I was sleeping with far less waking up with pain.Personally I found that, because I must sleep on my back due to arthritis, placing two rolled-up face clothes on either side of my head helps to keep my head from turning too much left or right when I sleep. And that also helps reduce pain. But that might not be necessary for everyone.

I really like this pillow! I was worried about the side sleeping parts being too high, but honestly they are perfect. Just the perfect firmness to support but gives enough to take the pressure off my neck and shoulders. I found that the first 2-3 days my neck/upper shoulders were a bit sore, but I was able to actually bring my shoulders further back than I could normally (aka more proper posture). I don't have any soreness anymore. I usually struggled sleeping because I felt like my head would loll around, which is why I got this pillow (in addition to the little neck part) and I find that once I commit to sleeping it happens very quickly. Fully recommend.

I'm sorry I have to leave a bad review, but I think it's unfair to other possible customers. This pillow caused a persistent back pain during the day. It wasn't easy to identify that this was the cause, but as soon as I decided to stop sleeping on it, my upper back pain vanished.It's also very very big, I was expecting the space for the head to be smaller, I can easily turn my head during the night.The only plus is that I did manage to sleep on my back, but the disadvantages far outweigh this.

It's too long width wise to fit on a double bed when not sleeping alone otherwise it's perfect.

Didn't work for me. Neck was worse after use not better.

I don't often bother to leave reviews, but when something makes so much difference to my life I think its worth it. For me this pillow was exactly what I needed. I was trying to sleep on my back, with a pillow under my neck and bottom part of my head, to keep the curve at the top of my back, as without that I was in a lot of pain all night. Trying to use a normal pillow for this purpose is not very effective. This Miran posture pillow does an absolutely perfect job in keeping the top part of my back, neck and head in the most comfortable position for sleeping on my back. I also have to alternate with sleeping on my side and this pillow fortunately also has the raised sides for exactly this purpose, which are exactly the right height and shape for side sleeping. I used to be in a lot of pain from sleeping badly and that is all so much better now, I am really grateful for this unusual pillow.

Good idea, but design definitely to be improved. Needs a breathable material (woke up sweaty) and the sides are too high to be comfortable when sleeping on the side as the neck gets all crooked. Also, overpriced! Returned and refunded. Perhaps a neck roll is more useful.

Just the ticket I now get a good comfortable nights sleep.
