Does not work well
I did not like this pencil sharpener. I guess I've only used the "helical blade" type in the past. This was much like the manual pencil sharpeners where you insert the pencil, push, and twist to get a point, except this one has a motor. When I put the pencil in, it jumped and skipped as it bit into the wood but was not strong enough to shave it off smoothly. If I pushed less hard, the blade would not connect with the wood. If I pushed harder, it would stall the motor. I am returning it and will pay a few more dollars for a "helical blade" pencil sharpener.

Died in barely over a week.
We have 4 kids, we go through a lot of colored pencils. Our old one was great, but we broke the plastic shavings case so we needed a new one. I got cheap and went for this one. Lame - my son liked it at first, but it couldn't' hack our house. after 11 days it just stopped. It is now in the trash. I suppose it might be fine for the occasional #2.

So-so pencil sharpener
This pencil sharpener is one of those Amazon purchases where you should pay attention to the size—it's significantly smaller than I anticipated. I works pretty well when it's plugged in, but stopped working with batteries or without being plugged in by day three. I'd say meh...kind of got what I paid for, I guess.

Good but small
This is a decent little sharpener. I guess I didn't look as hard as I probably should have, because it's significantly smaller then it looks in the photos. The shavings bin probably only holds enough shavings from sharpening four or five pencils before you have to empty it. The thing that I like least about it is that the plug is USB powered. I guess I just don't understand why everything needs to have a USB plug. Why can't they just put a standard outlet plug on it? Minus one star mostly for that alone. As far as sharpening goes, it seems to do the job.

Does the job but a bit sensitive
This sharpener does the job. My complaint is when sharpening a pencil, I had to hold the pencil down firmly enough to be sharpened but not too firmly that the sharpener would stop. Too sensitive for my 8 year old to sharpen pencils as this requires a firm yet gentle touch.

Lightweight sharpner!
I bought this for my kids. They love doing arts and crafts. This is the perfect sharpener for them. It works fast and easy for them to use. Small enough for them to hold in their hands and not heavy! I would recommend this!

Cheap
It worked for a couple pencils but after that now it starts to sharpen but then makes a loud screeching sound and doesn’t sharpen, like it’s jammed, even though it isn’t. It’s just cheap.
