Action Essentials 2 - Pre-Keyed Action Stock Footage

I gotta say that the genius behind this product created something that I needed, or perhaps what all of us on a low budget or who want to save money and/or time needed. Used this on Final Cut Pro and works like a charm. For the ones who are on the fence, please get it. The 720p version is sufficient for what I do (mainly video streaming, dvd, or bluray) and you'll save yourself some money than using the 2K version. (But I'm not knocking that higher quality version either. If you can get it, by all means do) This collection has got to be the most clever thing out there. So many effects...muzzle flashes, explosions, couch hits, glass shattering, particle hits, blood hits, sparks, bullet holes, etc. The quality is fantastic. Even if you weren't planning to use the other various effects, you eventually will since it'll get your creative juices flowing next time around. I am not a pro, just an intermediate who's been editing since 1990. It does come with a small sample of sound fx (small and large gun shot noises, explosions) but you will still need to find other sound effects somewhere else: nonetheless, it's a special effects package, not a sound fx package. And a wonderful effects package it is! This is well worth the price, worth every penny. You will not be sorry for getting this. I guarantee you that once you get it, you'll be addicted spending more time compositing all this stuff in.

It is not compatible with my Grandson's computer, no matter how we tried we can't get it to work, I want to send it back

Explosions and effects tend to leave the frame more often than they should. This make down scaling a major issue.

generally pretty good, with the glaring flaw of everything being provided with premultiplied alpha channels, which is a laughably amateur way to do it. What does that mean to you? It means all of your smoke and flames and powder bursts and anything with a light transparent edge will have a dark halo, and while you can fix that with Knoll's free UnMult plug-in, it's still inexcusable.

This is one of my best investments. There are some great HD footage on this 2 disk action essentials. Very professional, yet easy for someone like me that's learning more about creating my own video footage. There is so much information & tutorials on this disk, you can't go wrong.... This guy Andrew Kremer ( hope I'm spelling his name correct ) did a great job in putting this together... this team had to take some intensive time into putting this together, this is really unbelievable in creating stock footage like this... my hat goes off for these guys. Just drop these effects on top of your video footage, and you're creating some great professional movies & video's. Footage has great 3D effects on most elements. There is so much on these disks, I can't even mention it all. Copilot video essentials 2, goes far & beyond what many video effects vendors are trying to create. These elements are also pre-keyed so you don't have to work hard on eliminating black background colors to fit into your projects... now that's really being creative and taking out as much work and time for you. Highly recommend this action footage... can't go wrong.

I am a amateur film maker and just began in the world of composting. This pack is well worth every penny and i recommend it to anyone who is a film maker. For $100 you get graphics and special effects, along with a sound pack and tutorials ( only compatible with Adobe After effects). The number of special effects in this pack would take hours to create on your own and would probably not look as professional, they would also probably cost a good chunk of change. So the value of this pack is incredible and is a great starting point for a compositor. I would like to recommend getting it used, you will tend to get it a little cheaper and as long as the seller keeps everything in the box you should get the full package for a few bucks cheaper.

If you want to take your VFX to the next level, this is what you want. I used it with iMovie and had to upgrade to Final Cut Pro because the software was too powerful. For the one little effect I needed, it was perfect. Yes, it's pricey, but when you see what it gives you, new worlds open up in your head. (I recently saw AE2 effects in the NBC TV show "Revolution", which was cool!) Get this! I love it.

I LOVE these discs. in the package there are two double sided discs that hold your stock footage. it took me about 1 and a half hours to finish uploading them onto a macbook pro (lots of stuff!). everything is in 720p and most of it is on black so you can key the footage into Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro projects. They key in great and also can make your movie look EPIC if you edit them in correctly. The stock footage ranges from muzzle flashes, blood hits, glass hits, water hits, dirt hits, and last but not least, explosions of fire and dirt. This is an epic collection, and i might suggest getting the Pro Scores soundtrack maker to go along with your movie. no movie is good without good music. :D
