More of a Statement Than Functional.
Any ads that show it attached to a phone are misleading. Yes, it does charge but it's frequently interrupted, even in bright sunlight, so the phone will constantly get that beep that it's being plugged in. Very annoying. This works much better paired with an external battery pack.

Brim doesn't bend and sticks straight up. Looks goofy
Works so so. Doesn't allow brim to bend so it permanently has an upwards look. Would be cool for a rockabilly young kid. But looks pretty stupid on a 40yr old. Became a bureau ornament. I use power cells instead. Pretty sad. I liked it until I put it on.

I was super excited when this solar hat arrived today
I was super excited when this solar hat arrived today. Overall, it seems great. It fits well (it has an adjustable strap so you can change things a little if needed for a better fit). This definitely works to charge my iPhone. That being said, my only complaint is that the opening is a little tight/snug/difficult to fit the iPhone charger wire into just right, but other than that the hat is great. If I encounter any problems with it not working / charging in the sun properly I'll return to this review, but no problems so far. So I can recommend
