Review By KS the Dreamer on October 15, 2017 Format: Kindle EditionI really enjoyed this, I will certainly be reading it again with my son when he is a little older, I may even try one with him this Halloween. Each of the stories are uniquely different, some put me in mind of Disney’s Monster inc, others of Tales from the Crypt, Around the Bend, and other successful children’s horror. They are modern, and wonderfully written stories which possess a real charm that is further enhanced by the hand drawn images in a style which perfectly suits the book. It's the perfect horror collection for children I read this on KU but couldn't resist pickling up a copy too. By Reeny on September 30, 2017 Format: Kindle EditionThere is nothing better then reading a book of spine tingling stories before bed! Each of the stories in the book is the perfect length to keep the reader engaged while making their heart hammer. A great read for the little monster in your life since it is sure to spook the begeezus out of them! And the illustrations are perfect, giving way to add a little more chill to all the stories! I'd recommend this book along with a flashlight, marshmallows, and a campfire! My 11yr old said it's OK if you're 8.
My 11yr old chuckled and said " It was just OK & it wasn't scary at all. It would be good for maybe a 7 or 8 yr old." I rated it 4 stars because he felt the book was well written but meant for a younger age group.

I Loved this book!
I knew from the first page that I was going to love this book. The way it was written really stood out to me and the illustrations were amazing. They complimented the stories perfectly. There were seven short stories in this book and I enjoyed every single one. All of them were so creative and detailed, they kept me on edge at all times. I read the book in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down. I wish I could read more as all of the stories left me questioning what was going to happen next. My favourite story was either ‘Grandpa And The Hunt’ or ‘Campfire Tales’ as I loved the characters, and the plots were so well thought out and unpredictable. I have not read anything from this author before but I will not hesitate to read more from her. I highly recommend this book for 11-15 year olds.Review by Joanna.K

Great for the age group intented
I received an advanced reader copy of this book, for an honest review. I wanted to read this as I have 25grandkids under the age of 15 and younger. I wanted to see if I would let them read this. And it is absolutely age appropriate. This was a bunch of short stories. I really enjoyed reading this one.

Good for kids.
I had an off and on experience with the book as an engaging read. I enjoyed the premise of most of the stories, and the illustrations match the tone and theme of childhood hauntings perfectly. The illustrations really sewed it all up in a nice package. I found the dialogue of some characters to be inconsistent. Some of the stories could have gone a lot deeper with more twists to be more interesting. Most the stories had a moral, which I liked, but the moral came on too strong in some of them. I believe the stories will definitely keep kids up at night, and they will enjoy reading this book.
