Spy Girl: Books 1-3

There were possibilities in the plot line,but tbey were wasted. The story was written as if it should have been a video game for tweens with ADD. On top of that the implausabilities were piled up so thickly that the little critic in my head kept going "seriously!?" I could have passed it as a series for 12 year olds if it didn't have all the gratuatous sex and violence. I don't object to sex and violence, but not in a poor version of Nancy Drew for kids. Even for free, it is not worth your reading time.

And while the first ones are free, the subsequent ones are $7.99.You have to buy them if you care about what happens.I don’t happen to care enough to spend that much on any of the three books that follow.I also detest the practice of manipulating readers by publishing incomplete books.

This YA series is very well written and full of action. The main character is a kick-ass beautiful young woman who wishes to avenge the murder of her mother. There's a clandestine organization that is assassinating various key figures. Huntley, our heroine, has been trained and hired by Black X to prevent these assassinations and to find and destroy the organization. Also she is encouraged to find her mother's assassin and terminate him with extreme prejudice. However as the plot unfolds, things start to not be as straight forward nor as clear as they first appeared.Each book is written as one assignment but also builds and strengthens the plot line (or is it lines?) The story has enough love, action, betrayals and political maneuvering to satisfy most readers. There are some graphic scenes but most is left to the readers' imagination. I read this boxed set in one read and went looking for more.

Books 1 - 2 were $0, now Books 1 - 3 are $0. I was one of the naive ones who acquired Book 1 for $0 and then naively bought each subsequent one separately at full price. I've learnt a lesson. Don't pre-order books, wait a while, then the books may be available for $0. Authors need to think carefully about their marketing strategies to not annoy loyal readers.

The book didn't support page-flip, thus a new form of Reader was used; you had to be certain of where you were constantly. It was a hard to read book; hard to be read to.

Full of twists & turns, I loved it. FMC is a sassy, feisty, kickass spy girl. She was top of her class in everything, her motive, revenge. Her first mission, to protect the Prince. Great characters, well crafted storyline,. definitely recommend.

What do you do when you are a spy sent to live a lie, only to find out your life was a lie and what you are living is the truth? That is the situation the main character is in, no idea what it true and who to trust, but still doing what she is assigned to do.

By her own words, the character is kickass with amazing feats. If you're squeamish you may not like the descriptions of violence or of sex. Books 1-3 felt like one and two. I was expecting one more to tie things up. So I would recommend it with the previous explanation.

Written for young teenagers

For those of who like fast paced thrillers, this book is a must read. Lee or X is a highly trained spy. She is only 18 yrs, but she can do anything. She saves the prince of Montrovia fm being killed 3 times, gets to know that she is a billionaire heiress n has a brother, that her parents r also spies, n how she tries to save Montrovia n tries to get knowledge of the assassin of president of America. She tries to know more about Blackwood academy where she was trained after her parents were killed in front of her when she was 12 yeara only. Loved all 3 books n cant wait to read next.

I enjoyed the glamour and hijinks of the first book - even the second - but the third one got unexpectedly gruesome and dark. In fact, the third one left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and I wish I'd never read it! Such a shame. I can see that the author wanted to increase the stakes, to increase interest, but it was too ghastly for me. I'm a bit of a softy, and I don't generally read books about dark sexual violence. I wasn't expecting that in this series.Of course, other people will love that kind of stuff! But just so you know...

Casual reading for entertainment; and I found the characters and story line thoroughly entertaining - to the point where I sought out and bought up to Book 7. It should be made into a mini/series for TV.

i thoroughly enjoyed reading this box set. It was a gripping spy romance, i just couldn't stop reading it. Definitely worth the read and i recommend it.
