My daughter was still happy with the doll
The doll came on time, (was estimated to come between April 2-April 7) came on 3rd. The doll that came was a different doll with lighter hair and more accessories. We were trying to match a current barbie that had broken. My daughter was still happy with the doll, however it had obviously suffered water damage. Luckily, I was able to completely disinfect it, but what a pain that was and I just threw out the extra clothing so I didn't have to deal with it any more than I already had to. If purchasing toys for children, I would check to make sure it hadn't been water damaged first. If my daughter hadn't seen it when it arrived I would have returned it.

Great Doll, But The Clothes Are Another Story
I also have a first edition Madison in the denim jacket and white lace top. I haven't taken the first edition out of her box yet, but I took this doll out of her box. I like the outfits that came with the first edition doll better. I don't like the bathing suit or dress that comes with this doll. The halter and shorts are okay, but really hoochie. I like Barbie's strapless denim mini dress on this Madison. I also bought some My Scene and Fashion Avenue outfits for this doll. She tends to look better in strong colors. Pastels make her look washed out.

I Love Madison!
I started collecting the My Scene line, starting with the first wave. This doll is Madison from the second wave, and she is so cool! Actually, I think she's a definite improvement over the first wave Madison because her hair is softer and easier to style than the ultra-curly first Madison. And of course, I adore her leopard print halter top! The entire My Scene line is such a breath of fresh air.
