Good for what you need to do temporarily
No, don't try to start out on a 7string. Not for beginners. I still have a little trouble drop tuning these things. Guitar is great, looks great, has a flat mat finish, bare neck which I prefer. Pickups are, meh..ok. the get the job done but you can get hotter ones later. Definitely a nice guitar for when you need to get that low end sound. Then when your done, go back to the Les Paul...lol

Nice introduction to a 7 string without breaking your budget
Always kind of wanted a 7 string, ever since I saw Steve Vai playing one live years ago, but just never bought one. Saw the price tag on this puppy and couldn't resist. It's typical Ibanez quality for a guitar in this price range, very solid, tiny bit of noise from the volume pot, nice thin Wizard neck, great feel, low action, and good growley sound. Not something I really needed, or would ever use live or for recording, but it's now my favorite for doing my neck exercises, the added low B string gives you a little more of a workout. If you're curious about the 7 string but worried about the typical cost for most, this is the one you want.

Looks just as good as the picture
First guitar purchased online and I can honestly say I am pleasently surprised. Looks just as good as the picture, and feels even better to play. The fret board is isn't too wide, doesn't have any buzz, and is nice an light in your hands while still managing to feel quality. Overall a fantastic guitar that I highly recommend.

I actually expected this guitars paint job to be a little lighter like the pics
Sound: very versatile. Can do clean very well and the distortion packs a punch! Look: I actually expected this guitars paint job to be a little lighter like the pics, but, nevertheless it's a pretty unique paint job. Feels: pretty light weight and smooth.

Awesome Guitar!
This guitar is everything I wanted and more. I have always been a big Ibanez fan so when I decided I want to get my first seven string, it was an easy decision. I play Metal/Hard Rock and for me there's not a better brand out there for the Metal genre. I highly recommend this for beginners and even experienced players. You won't be disappointed.
