very good light just what you need to be seen on the water day or night while kayaking. it is made of a good sturdy plastic housing with 2 baterry compartments which are sealed with 2 "O" rings to keep it water tight. I recomend this 2 in 1 light to all kayakers and small vessels to have with you when on the water.

I bought this for boating at night. Seemed ideal. Should have checked it right away, because when I just went to use it -- a year after I purchased it -- it turns out the flashlight works, and the strobe doesn't. And now it's way past the return point...
