Very nicely executed, they appear to be fairly tough as well. The high-glaze white finish is blemish-free, and seems to be well porcelainized, as it retains no coffee or tea stains whatsoever. Definitely recommend.A few months later:My remarks remain unchanged. Had a couple of slips with no damage whatsoever to finish or integrity - quite surprised. The handles suffer no apparent weaknesses, and the finish remains pure white despite hand-washing (milder detergent than auto) and at least one having coffee in it most of every day.I suspect that these are a product of China, possibly of more than one manufacturer, and that some of the resulting product is remarkably serviceable, while other - such as reported in other reviews - has a spotty record for quality.This things "ring" like porcelain and certainly absorb more abuse than one would expect of workaday "fired mud" ceramics, and I'm convinced they're better than advertised. If yours arrive with problems, I'd advise complaint and return for replacement. Bear in mind that mine are white, which may actually be farmed out to only one mfgr - or I just got really lucky.

I needed a cup for beverages all day, every day, that would be in and out of the microwave. I like to drink tea and use coffee bags a once in awhile, too. My favorite cup is glazed and matches our dinner dishes. But, it gets too hot to hold even by its handle if it is used in the microwave. And, it is too hot to sip coffee from. The Hampton mug doesn't get too hot to hold or sip beverages from. The ceramic mugs are simple, yet they are strong, and feel good in my hand. They hold just the right amount of liquid that I can also use for cappuccino from my coffee brewer (with kind with discs) and not worry that hot liquids will spill over the brim. The mugs can be put into the dishwasher in either the top or the bottom rack without worrying that they will break or bump against something and get cracked. I like them and think it was an outstanding purchase due to the quality and the price of the mugs. They were securely packaged and were delivered in perfect shape. When these finally get broken, I will order more of the same.

I bought these mugs because I wanted to create personalized gifts for my friends and needed simple, white mugs to draw on. The mugs arrived promptly and in good condition. It is also a fairly good price for a set of four. I used oil-based sharpies to draw on the mugs and was very satisfied with the result. My friends were also extremely happy with their gifts.One star was knocked off because the mugs do arrive with a yellow and black 'Made in China' stamp on the bottom that cannot be removed and is not aesthetically pleasing. However, if you are like me and are decorating the mugs, this is a quick fix because you can just draw over the marking (I signed my name, for example) and no one would know the difference.

These are perfect if you want to decorate your own coffee mugs. I used a variety of paint pens (found Sharpie brand oil-based to be the best), wiped the mugs down with rubbing alcohol before starting, and used rubbing alcohol to fix any mistakes. Put the mugs in a cold oven, set it for 350 degrees, left them in there for an hour, turned off the oven and left the mugs in there to cool off. The next day they got a second treatment because my husband preheated the oven for dinner at 350 not realizing the mugs were still in there, so they got another 15 minutes and then cooled on the counter. They have been through the dishwasher multiple times and still look great. As for these mugs, they are a standard size, were shipped carefully, each one in perfect condition upon arrival.

I loved the shape and size of these which is why I purchased them. I am testing my typography designs on them so it was important I didn't have a mug that got smaller at the bottom. First glance, they're great! Weight is awesome. Color is perfect (I got white). I haven't tested durability yet but will update if I have any issues.The thing that really bugs me is that there's a cheap looking "Made in China" stamp on the bottom highlighted in YELLOW. It looks like a sticker but it has enamel or something over it. What the heck is up with that? I'll use them for testing my designs, but no way am I using them for my business products. Just totally turns me off. Maybe it's because I'm a designer, who knows?! Haha! I will include a photo so you are able to make your own decision.

Pros: Comfortable. Perfect size for a guy with larger hands and the colors are always vibrant so they stand out at breakfast while everyone else tends to use basic white.Con: I've purchased a few boxes of these in different colors and with any type of colored ceramic mugs, they are prone to chipping - typically around the bottom ring (under the handle) if you're not careful in putting them away. No issues in the dishwasher or microwave though.

I am absolutely thrilled with these mugs! I am just starting to make vinyl decals, and wanted to try my hand at creating a permanent vinyl decal with my son's business logo. I used metallic gold vinyl on the black mugs. They turned out amazing! You'll see by the attached photos how nice and shiny the mugs are. Looks very high-end. My son is thrilled - he's looking forward to handing these out to clients and associates. Oh - the "Made in China" on the bottom of the mug wiped off easily with acetone nail polish remover.

I just finished drinking a cup of tea in one of my new mugs! I am very pleased with this purchase as the mugs are a good quality and very pretty. And they retain the heat very well. As an added bonus for me, they are a perfect match colorwise for my Franciscan Desert Rose dishes!!!!!!!! I have the original ones made in the USA.The mugs are made in China; I don't remember if it said this in the description or not.I would highly recommend them; I have the Red ones on my Wish List. Wish they were made in the USA though.

I had ordered some white ones a while back and really like them so decided to Germany’s more. I love that they are white on the inside.

Mugs are of good quality but yellow colour which I'd assumed from photo was pastel yellow, is actually an off putting dark yellow, almost dirty looking yellow, leaving family members avoiding them unless they're the only clean mugs left. For myself, although not liking the off putting yellow, they do the job.

Perfect! They arrived in immaculate condition and are just the right size. Love the colour too.
