Bats at the Beach (A Bat Book)

Oh my god, what a cute story! So sweet and silly, and the artwork is gorgeous. My 4 yo loves bats and she adores this book. It was recommended to me by a Montessori teacher, and with good reason. Buy it!

We have bought this fun book for several of our grandchildren. The rhyming verse is quite clever. The story itself about bats going to the beach at night is very entertaining. Kids love the words and the great pictures. We highly recommend this book!

Such a great rhyming book that my first graders enjoyed during the month of October that is Bat appreciation month!

We really struggle with finding a good book these days for the kids to enjoy. There seem to be a huge amounts of book being written, and few that flow or make sense. This book was exactly what our kids wanted. It’s cute, uses words they don’t hear everyday which leads to questions and interest, and the illustrations are full of detail. We have read it, re read it, and then back to go over the pictures to see all the stuff we missed. As a parent these days, finding books to compete with Technology is difficult. I am happy to say that this book is a great winner for us. I paired it with a Wild Republic Bat stuffed animal as a gift for my daughter… worked great. Thank you for creating this book ….. it was needed.

We found this book in our library and knew we had to add it to the list of books to buy. It's such a whimsical idea to think about what nocturnal creatures do at night, besides the typical tropes of standing watch and hunting for food. This book is as relaxing as it is exciting. Reading it feels like the cool, breezy night air in summer and is as fun as a trip to the beach. Can't wait to check out more in the series.

I read this book to my granddaughter 20 years ago. A friend has a 2 year-old granddaughter that I recently met. I wanted a copy for her. I found it and Bookmonger Ltd. fulfilled my order. The book is in perfect condition and arrived quickly. It was such a joy to see and read this book again! My friend and her granddaughter have a lovely treat in store.

Wonderful book. Clever poetry. Excellent illustrations. My 4 and 6 year old sit thought the whole story and it’s a favorite. Be sure to look for “Bats at the library”. The only thing I would change about it is how dark the pictures look. It’s difficult to see all the detail on each page. Would love to see a version printed using a brighter setting.

my students thought this book was so funny. I read this to kinder and 1st grade students they laughed out loud when the bats were roasting bug-mellos. while this is a cute fun story it also has some actual bat facts like they only come out at night and they eat bugs and pictures depict how they carry their babies. also the pictures in this book are very nice.

Divertido

Its soft and has nice webbed/ sewing details on the wing. And looks just like the character in the book. It sits perched on my bookshelf ready to guard my home library from bugs that go bump in the night ;)

hält nicht mit "bats at the library" nicht ganz mit; jedenfalls regen die Fledermäuse am Strand Fantasie und Lachmuskeln nicht so sehr an wie in der Bücherei!

Not my favourite kids book to read but my child seems love really enjoy it and seeing what the bats get up to. Very well illustrated.
