Is this interchangeable with the 700-039? They both are 36 spline. Are the length of the shafts the same between the two transmissions?

As long as the transmission does not require a retainer this should work. The output shafts have no groove for a retainer.

Don't work.

This transmission does not work it will not shift at all . DON'T BUY THIS PEACE OF CRAP. A day later Finley got it to shift I will update my review after putting it to use.

I think the company sucks I reported this 3 times in two weeks and no one gets back even to replace it a waist of money just buy quality perless now many months later still nothing from company this isn't right selling me scrap and had to go buy another trans that I could shift and works fine from the start ...

Used on a lawnmower and it worked fine until about 7 months after i bought it and i now have to replace parts. Do not buy it is a cheap chinese clone of a real peerless 700. Spend the money for something better than this
