Really nice release!
Rarely buy hardcover books now, tho IMO a well-produced book is a pleasure to have. Delighted that this book itself IMO is affordable quality - tightly bound pages, very smooth ("clay" coated?) velvety feeling cover, beautiful prints that are sharp and clear, attached ribbon bookmark. Perfect size to curl up with - not too big or too small. The UK publishing house knows their stuff!Of course I am keeping my battered original paperback of Good Omens but some books you just need more than one of - and this release has the lovely images scattered throughout, that are nods to the superb Amazon/BBC series. If you can't afford the more upscale collector editions of Good Omens books, IMO as a gift to yourself or any fan of the series this is a great choice. The one nit I have is the cover is so sharp and clear I'd like to keep it pristine, so I need to get a book jacket or clear cover. Still IMO deserves 5 stars or more as a well-done edition. Of course I'd love even more images but suppose I can take screen shots of the series if I must!As for the mad beautiful magical reality chaos of the story itself - well, there's a reason Good Omens is is popular and often laugh-out-loud funny - also in places with hints of darkness and bittersweetness. IMO that was always the magic of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, which happily the series also captures. To the World!!!

The original book
I had Good Omens (without the illustrations) and lent the book to a friend (never got back). It has a lot more story than the paperback version. It's a very funny book and the illustrations are enjoyable too. For example, Crowley is running away from the demons trying to collect him for hell and he's in his Bentley taking it literally through the Thames River (good thing his windows were rolled up). Although we have some mention of Aziraphale (whenever he gets into the 20 century his gets stuck into 1950s) there is more of a viewpoint from Crowley. I highly recommend this book for a good, fun read.

Beautiful edition of a brilliant book
I've loved this strange and wonderful book since it came out. This high quality illustrated edition is perfect for a book so well worth rereading and cherishing. It's especially appealing if you like the casting and overall look of the TV adaptation, as the illustrations are drawing inspiration from there.

Great Story and Wonderful Illustrations
The illustrations in this book are beautifully done, and they are based on the Amazon series. The story is the same wonderful story it has always been. I was very happy to get my copy of this!To make me even more excited, not to mention amused, my copy is a misprint. The book was put into the cover upside down! I’m keeping this forever and look forward to confusing people reading this. If I ever have the chance to, I’m also going to ask Neil Gaiman to sign this copy. However, I will likely also buy a proper version later, lol

Buy this book if you heart the Apocalypse
One of my all-time favorite books. I have the paperback with pages falling out & a rubber band to keep more pages from falling out, a first edition hardback and now this. I love the illustrations even though the characters are in no way what I always imagined. The extra plates (b&w) feel like a bonus! A super nice item for any fan!If you’ve never read this book, and you’re a fan of Douglas Adams, dark humor or just the Apocalypse in general, pick up a (paperback) copy. If you’ve loved this book for decades, get this copy. You’ll enjoy the little extras.

I'm a Christian and I still love this book
I'm writing this review because Good Omens seems to be getting a lot of criticism from conservative Christians. I'm a devout Christian and I love the Bible. Good Omens do contain a lot of satire and jokes that may offend some Christians, but I enjoyed it thoroughly with light heartedness. It also contains one of the most beautifully written and swoon worthy friendships, ever. The relationship between Aziraphale and Crowley reminds me of the story I love in the Bible of the bond between David and Jonathan. I watched the show as well, and if you enjoyed the show, you will like the illustrations in this book. The only complaint I have is that I wish they showed more pictures of Crowley and Aziraphale.

NOT A Graphic Novel
I purchased this one and the standard version after looking through other reviews and thinking it would be a full graphic novel throughout but I was wrong. Instead there are full page pictures at the end of some chapters. I’m disappointed because it feels like a bit of a waste for me personally, but overall very appealing and doesn’t take away from the story for me. Love the hard cover.
