I thought my backpacking backpack was toast after one of the waist buckles broke. Found these online, cheap, easy, and my backpack is good as new (maybe better, these seem pretty durable). And got an extra pair in case it breaks again. 5 stars, thanks for saving my backpack!

These are heavy duty strap keepers. The positive side is that they’re not going to inadvertently open, The negative is that you need a lot of strength to unsnap them. Also, be sure the straps are thick enough that the clasp willl have something to grab hold of. I hadn’t envisioned their heft and could have used something less beefy, but I had thick and enough straps I was able to make them work.

Worked perfect for what I needed. The only reason I took off a star because it was hard unclip. You want it to be strong but if used by the elderly or younger children it may be difficult for them to undo and do up.

After 25+ years, the buckle on my Northface pack broke at a trailhead. After I got home, I called local sports stores to find a replacement buckle. No luck locally. Then I tried Amazon. After looking at a few buckles, I found this one with the same dimensions as my broken buckle. Two days later, I was changing out my buckle for this replacement. The buckle fit perfectly and I have my favorite pack back. And for a bonus, the replacement pack has two buckles in it. I now carry the spare with me, just in case. I do recommend this product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These work great. I make custom kydex holsters and I use these for the chest rigs that I make. They snap in very well and stay in place with the nylon webbing I use.

Bought for the waist strap of an old well-worn pack I’d kinda forgotten about . Swapped the old, broken one out for this new guy and wow! The old pack is back in business. Took the whole rig hiking last weekend. New buckle clicked shut solid and satisfying and held well the whole day. Couldn’t ask for anything more from it really. Brought my old pack back to usefulness and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Thanks new buckle. 10/10. Would recommend to family and friends.

Replacement buckle for my Maxpedition side carrying bookbag the Buckle itself locks into position and is very sturdy however unless you have a working knowledge of sewing and undoing box stitching I would recommend going to a place that knows how to do that instead of ordering the Buckle thinking you're going to slide it through the loops and have it just as an oem fitment

This buckle is actually 2 1/2 inches, and quite a bit larger than my old one. I ordered it for a purse, and it’s too big for it! Seems like a well built buckle, and would be great if it was really only 2 inches.

After shutting my Osprey Farpoint 70 in the car boot and destroying the buckle An expensive rucksack to replace for the sake of a buckle. I didn’t relish the prospect of sewing one on but this buckle is so easy to fit and seems so much tougher than the originals. At 2 inch this buckle is larger than strap but this allows for the double stitched fold to pass through after hacksawing off the old buckles. It tightens well on hip straps and is easy released. Highly recommended looks much stronger than original I’ll let you know when I shut this one in the door! At least you get 2 of them
