Excellent
If you love spaghetti westerns, ornery lead characters and great art, pick this series up. As Hawkeye is my favorite character in this particularly grim, but great slice of alternate Marvel universe goodness, the creative team infuse a lot of heart, wit and viciousness into the book. For every mistake Clint makes, the reader benefits. The constant references to eyes and vision are woven into the story that makes you wince, laugh and sigh.Marco Checchetto’s art has never been better (which is saying something given how he consistently delivers such great work), and Andres Mossa heightens that art with heroic splashes of purple marking Hawkeye’s skillset. The pace is another nod to the Italian western - ambling along in the best of ways. Writer Ethan Sacks delivers spot on characterizations too. Bonus: This issue features a fun homage to that dinner Angel Eyes crashed so memorably in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.I am happy to hear each issue has sold out within days of release...the only thing I do not like is the wait between issues.

I liked this one a lot more! It's still graphic, but that ending... I feel like the story is just getting started (yes, I know this is the second issue, so it's literally just getting started, but it felt different). Hawkeye has a purpose, there's an obvious villain, and now a twist!
