You can never have too many flashlights...
Great light so far. Only had it about a week but it's super bright and I really like having four different output levels to choose from. Packaging was a little rough but nothing to warrant deducting a star. Have yet to throw it in the bathtub but all in all seems like a great heavy duty light. Wish it was modular in the sense that you could connect two or even three...battery modules?...tubes? together to drastically increase runtime. Plus, this thing would be a beast of a club with two more battery tubes. Just my two cents though.I also purchased zerohour's apex tactile pen. Would highly recommend if you're into that sort of thing. Very cool heavy duty/quality look and feel to it although probably not meant for extensive amounts of writing. Be sure and check out the refills for the pen though. Either here on Amazon or through zerohour's website. Mine shipped with a medium black so if you want something more fine or bold you'll need to order it separately. All in all great job guys. Keep it up.

I was happy with the MagLites that I used in the past
My wife thought I was a bit crazy when I showed her the ZeroHour flashlight and ordered it. I was happy with the MagLites that I used in the past, but the ZeroHour appeared to be more practical and a much more effective source of light, so I went ahead with the purchase. My ZeroHour arrived safely, in a timely manner, well packed in packaging that was as well designed as the ZeroHour flashlight its self! Assembly was easy and the array of parts (extra O-rings, lanyard, end caps, storage bags, etc.) was impressive. It was good to buy a top quality item that came with everything you could want, plus more. I'm just beginning to discover the situations where I can use the ZeroHour's charging features. The light is brilliant. I had the opportunity to use the ZeroHour during a steady snow/sleet storm last week and the contractor that was with me was incredulous that such a small flashlight could put out so much light. It literally far outshined his much larger hand held spotlight. Even with a steady fall of precipitation, we could clearly see details on our chimney and roof.As I was showing my neighbor the features on the ZeroHour, he commented that the defensive strobe was "incredibly annoying" even though he was not looking directly into the light... I'll take that as a positive. When I originally read reviews, I missed reading about the memory feature that holds the intensity last used when the light is switched off. That feature has been very useful. The bottom line is that the ZeroHour was worth every penny. If it had been available years ago I would own a few less Maglites! They are good and reliable, but the ZeroHour definitely outshines them both literally and figurally!

Excellent device. On/off switch is too sensitive, however the lamp is a great addition to my emergency needs kit.

Zero flashlight
Works well but many others just as good at a lot less $$$. Also heavy and thick. But works as advertised. Gets very hot also.

THIS is a flashlight! (And a Charger!)
To my Aussie friend at Christmas: That's not a flashlight ... THIS is a flashlight! As I pulled out my ZeroHour XD from under my car seat when his tire blew when he pulled out an old Maglite. Truth be told this is really a lighting/charging *system*. I micro-invested (look at me Mom I'm a captain of industry!) in the ZeroHour XD Kickstarter campaign as did many others ... and I'm extremely pleased with it's performance and design. As you can tell by the photo there are a few ways to tweak and repurpose this tactical flashlight. So I can use this thing to smack somebody in the forehead if they're a threat- that's one app and where this earns it's tactical moniker. I can strobe his accomplice into a state of confusion - that's two. I can charge an iPad and an iPhone at the same time - that's another and a function that came in incredibly handy recently during a power outage. I can use it to keep track of my black labs on a moonless night - that's another. And if you're so inclined you can accessorize it with brightly colored bezels and button rings to match your other gear -- but that's not my style. But let's get down to what really matters: it's a fantastic flashlight.PRO- It has a great throw (distance) and a wide beam. I can light up my entire yard with this thing. And the color of the beam is warmish unlike those frosty white LED beams I see in other lights. I'm not crazy about lights with a tight beams or the cool white light but this is a matter of personal preference of course.- It's built like a German Tank -- I've dropped this thing a couple of times and it didn't chip, dent nor did the LED's fail.- The 3 batteries provide an enormous amount of juice so this thing will go and go and go - lighting or charging.- The button system for invoking the different modes is intuitive.- And I've saved the best for last - I can eliminate one piece of gear from my go bag with this unit - no more need for a backup power source for the phone/bluetooth ear piece/tablet etc. And it's a better flashlight and batter backup than what I had been using.CON- Only two things - I have struggled to "find" the button switch at times ... especially with one hand. I hope ZeroHour comes up with a way to address this in a later revision. That the button is tucked away safely is a good thing to be sure but there's got to be some sort of tactile means of making it easier to get your finger on it quickly. Sometimes s split second can make all the difference.- And last, the charging port on this unit should be changed to an industry standard micro-USB instead of the "round doohickey plug" it has now. If you lose your charging cable you have to buy another and they aren't cheap.Which brings me to good news. If you're reading this before Thu, Feb 5 2015 9:00 PM PST you can get in on ZeroHours new Relic XR EDC light/charger. The Relic will have the micro-USM port. In fact, one reward level affords you the opportunity to buy one of each for a great price. Google ZeroHour Relic for more on this.So my name is RB and I am addicted to Flashlights. Thanks for letting me share.

A Solid Torch that's Waterproof and can charge my GoPro and Cell Phone
I've been using this flashlight for a couple weeks now and it's moved up to be one of our favorite adventure gadgets. I've used it to charge my cell phone, my Camelbak All Clear UV water purifier and my GoPro while on the trail. It's survived 2 rainstorms and one 4 foot drop without any issue. So far everything has worked as promised, I will follow up with an update in a few more months if anything changes.
