Milwaukee 49-24-2371 M18 Power Source

If you use Milwaukee heated hoodies and jackets like I do during the brisk Fall and cold Winter months you know that using the recommended Milwaukee M12 batteries is not perfect especially when they quickly require a recharge when the heat conks out. This adapter when used with any capacity M18 battery will prolong the time you have heated clothing w/o having to worry about the battery requiring recharging. This same adapter with the larger sized M18 batteries will also charge my cell phone and tablet when outdoors. Excellent adapter and works with all capacity M18 batteries up to and including the 9AmpH battery.

Great way to charge a phone or power the tent light strip. Wish I had ordered 2 when I purchased last winter. I have used this multiple times this year and have found it extremely reliable and useful.

Came with a mounting plate. Perfect size and value for the money. Going to function right mounted in my air box for lights on my dirtbike.

Awesome product

This is perfect for letting you use your M18 2.0 and 3.0 batteries in your M12 jacket / hoodie for example. Yes, it does seem to give more power / heat on a given setting than the M12 battery as you might expect, but Milwaukee rates it for this so you won't void the warranty or cause damage. You can also lower the setting and get a lot better runtime. Like always, it would technically work with an HD 12.0 battery, but fat chance fitting that into your pocket, and even if you did - would you want to carry that heavy thing around?

It does its job very well; however, there are a couple of things that don't seem well thought out. The biggest problem faces USB power port users. You can see in the image that one side is indented where the USB port is located, but the problem is that the battery has no indent, thereby blocking you from grasping a USB plug after it's been inserted. You need to put your fingers around two opposite sides of a plug to grasp it, but here you only have access to two adjacent sides. So you'll be pulling them out by the cable every time. The second thing I didn't like about this nor any other M18 tool I've used: the battery wiggles once it's attached to the tool. That sort of fit and finish is as bad as any Chevrolet produced in the 70s, lousy. If I leave the unit on accidentally overnight with nothing attached, the DC to DC converter uses some residual power apparently, as the back of the power source gets slightly warm, and I'll lose a bar or two on my XC 5 battery. That's not unexpected or bad necessarily, but I thought I'd mention that's how it works. The power switch is an analog sliding switch that is recessed somewhat but probably not enough to keep it from being accidentally switched on as it bounces around your truck. The quality of the switch is excellent from my couple of months using it.

Outstanding. I have this 1 & 2 knockoff brands &, of course, this 1 blows the knockoffs out the door. This charger actually charges while you use your phone where the knockoffs would not. Will not buy any more knockoffs now.

I purchased two of these to mount in my portable fish houses and run my 12v overhead lights off my M18 drill batteries. They work flawlessly! Pro Tip: you can split the case into 2 pieces and then drill through the back plastic to hard mount this. Just make sure your screw heads are shallow enough to not contact the circuit board. This is what I did to both of mine and it worked amazing.

It was bit expensive for a simple item. I understand it was shipped from the US so the price was justified

Arrived a day early, it's genuine Milwaukee, does what it says. It was also about $6 less than my local Home Depot which didn't have it in stock anyway.
