Star City Games 1000 Assorted Magic: The Gathering Cards Silver Collection

This is a box of bulk Magic: The Gathering cards, and the description is fairly accurate. You get a package of lands, a handful of uncommons/rares, and a bunch of commons.Other reviewers have already itemized what they received, so I'll spare you that. I will say that I seemed to get a bit more white than anything. I also got a fair number of junk cards like Trepanation Blade, but thankfully these weren't counted against the uncommon/rare limit. I also got about 10 non-English cards.If you just want some cheap cards to play with your friends, then this is an easy recommendation. If you are interested in tournaments, however, then a large portion of this box is going to be unhelpful to you, depending on which format you play in.Even as a casual collection, however, this has some shortcomings. The power level of the cards vary wildly, since they are from so many different sets. You might get a few Modern-format staple cards like Mana Leak, as well as older cards from before the game was balanced, and plenty of things in between. About 100 of the cards (give or take) were "unplayable" bad in any format, except perhaps draft/cube.If you like multi-color decks, then this collection is generally lacking in good gold/multicolored cards. I received a few, but not nearly enough to justify making a good dual- or three-color deck. If you want to play Commander, then you will need to find legendaries elsewhere: my collection only had 1 legendary creature (Grenzo, Dungeon Warden).Overall, it's hard to say much about this that one wouldn't say about any other bulk Magic lot. There's a lot of variety, and it's a good, cheap way to have some MTG at the kitchen table. Aside from the limits of randomization and some unusable bad/foreign cards, this package delivers what it says it will.

You're getting 1000 cards, it won't be perfect. Not every card is going to be awesome. But this really really helped! I did not have too many instances of multiple cards. There were a few that I had between 6 and 8 of, but for the most part I had a great variety, and of course plenty with 2 or 3 of the same card. Which is fine, if it is a card you like using. I am pretty new to Magic, and had only bought a pack that has a pre-made deck plus 2 booster packs, so I only had 90 cards prior to this. I was able to use these cards to modify that deck to be awesome. Plus I made 2 more decks, from scratch. The variety in these packs is awesome, and you will get cards from the very beginning all the way up to 2014. I did not receive any 2015 cards so I do not know if these boxes include any. My girlfriend got the Gold box from this seller and had a completely different set of cards! Hardly anything was the same between our two boxes, which blows my mind. Unlike some reviewers, my distribution of colors was relatively even. Not enough that I cared, anyways.I only had about 5 cards I had to toss because they were foreign or had writing on them. The box includes 80 land, which is cool. The rest of the cards are all previously used in some fashion, it seems, but the land comes in a sealed package. It has that new card smell! If you are like me and are getting this box as a newcomer to Magic, then I recommend buying more land cards in bulk. 80 divided by 5 is only about 17, which is likely not enough of one color to make a mono-color deck, or to make more than one deck multi-color that has the same color in it. It is extremely limiting, so make sure to get more land, 80 is not enough, but it will get you by if you just want to make a single dual- or multi-color deck for now.The number of foils and rares were as advertised, and I can't complain. There were some really good rares, some cool foils, and several pre-release foils too. Next time I will probably get a gold box, but I am trying to curb my new found addiction to Magic. I told a friend who has played for years that I was getting into it and he just said "Stop. While you still can." Good advice. It is easy to buy a lot of these when they cost under $30! I will be limiting myself, but these boxes are great. Highly recommend for new and seasoned players alike just to get a variety of old and new cards from different packs.

I bought 2 and opened one and after sorting and counting i ended up with 1046 cards. That means there were 46 free cards.Breakdown of what I received:12 Rare (No mythics sadly)12 Foils1 Fuse card? it's 2 cards in one I guess. I dont usually write reviews but I'm writing this for anyone trying to look around for good MTG products. This is a great choice, I usually hear a lot on Youtube about how most players should just buy singles instead of deck builder kits and structure decks, but this item is very inexpensive and has a lot of variety. You definitely cant go wrong buying this.The shipping was quick and my cards were packaged in a quality card box with the companies logo. Me Ha llegado el Paquete, a Menos de 1 Semana de Haberlo Pedido,La caja venia con algunos pequeños golpes por que no le pusieron la adecuada proteccion para que no estuviera golpeandose contra las paredes internas de la caja del envio, pero obviando eso, puedo indicar que las tarjetas llegaron en un estado excelente, incluso parece que los paquetes fueron abiertos e inmediatamente empacados despues de sacarle todos los tokens, tierras, raros y miticos,las tierras (basicas) venian en una bolsita con 16 de cada una, los 12 Raros Tambien Venian en una bolsita, y de las tarjetas Foiled venian entre las tierras y las raras.Recibi un total de 1089 cartas, con creaturas, instantaneos, embrujos, encantamientos, artefactos y tierras tal y como describo en la caja inferior, venian bastantes tarjetas repetidas, los casos mas extremos fueron de 2 tarjetas que aparecian hasta un total de 8 veces, Me quede con los duplicados hasta 4 repeticiones, cuando eran mas de 4 los demas los use para intercambiar, asi que me quedaron 69 tarjetas para hacer intercambio con mis colegas.El producto cumple lo que promete, son cartas comunes con algunas tierras, algunos raros y bastante mas de 1000 cartas.Recomendado para quienes quieren empezar.

Las cartas llegaron en buen estado. La mayoria son cartas comunes de varias ediciones. Pero esta bien para alguien que quiera iniciar su coleccion. En mi caso no habian casi cartas repetidas.

Cartas en buenas condiciones de todos los colores, puedes armar algunos decks con ellas aunque casi no incluye tierras.

Si apenas estas iniciando en este adictivo juego, no lo dudes y compra este paquete. Para iniciar tu colección esta genial.

Compre dos, es buena opción para completar decks pero no vale la pena comprar más de uno, traen las mismas cartas prácticamente, las raras si cambian pero no hay alguna que tenga un valor extra.
