Fortunately, I've not had to use them for soaking up water, so I can't talk to that point. The filling, whatever it is, comes through the fabric which is more mesh-like so there appears to be sawdust wherever it sits, a nuisance but not a deal breaker.

Worked well after initial break-in period. It seemed like the whole thing had to be wet before it worked. I used 2 of them to keep the area around my garage refrigerator dry (from rain and snow drippings from cars) and they did the trick.

Sufficient for what I needed. Would never do or hold as much as advertised.

You pay your money and the product blocks drafts from your doors or windows. I wouldn't buy a lot of them but for one particular purpose they work.

The sock did what it was supposed to do. However, I should have ordered more than one for the amount of water I needed to soak up.

The sock was not worth the cost. This sock was filled with something like sawdust, and everytime you moved or pick it up the sawdust kept falling through the porrus cover. Had to sent it back.

I bought this because I was getting mold or mildew growing near my sink. This has stopped that. Just wish it was more attractive.

Rather stiff and unwieldy which means it is difficult to make it fit into corners, such as on window sills. Plus, it sheds this sand-like material all over the place.
