Eyehategod - Live

Point Blank:If you are reviewing this right now you already know EHG so lemme keep it short. This is the only dvd i can find of EHG live and doing any music on dvd. There are 2 great live sets spanning all their albums(a good bit of old songs get played) and you get the 3 music videos they have made,plus a 3 song set in Vienna Austria. It is the best quality of the sets,but all the quality of all the songs on both sets are great. If you love this band or are a fan of it or their sound i highly suggest picking up this dvd. You will enjoy it,you like me will probably keep repeating the disc so it will keep spinning. This is a great disc to get your hands on. Hell i won't even let anybody borrow it it's so good. Get a copy and support your favorite artist's.

This DVD is an essential for any Eyehategod fan or anyone who ever was unlucky to miss seeing them live. The packaging is great and everything about the DVD is excellent.

Not great quality. But worth watching. It reallys shows how raw their shows are.

Everything you love about eyehategod. I don't usually write reviews - but thought it was a shame that no one has reviewed this yet.If you like EHG, this set will remind you why. Dark, gritty, heavy, slow... Melts-in-your-brain-metal.

I was happy to finally get this music DVD. I am happy to hear EHG is coming out with a new album.

i guess ur always gonna be better off with a sound system with ur tv so not gonna say its poor for tv but average. other than that would av been nice for a bit of back stage chat or a short bio on the band since theyve been around a while. read a review on this dvd and says theyres a punch up between a man on stage and mike who spits on him but been thru whole disc and theres nothin of the sort so bit dissipointed is theyre a diff version? for die hard fans this is an essiential

EHG spielen Sludge in seiner ursprünglichsten, aggressivsten und selbstzerstörerischsten Form: Ein Doom Metal Hardcore Gebräu: Gewaltige BlackSabbathRiffs, wütend-träges Drumming, Walking Bass und Hardcore-Shouts, dazu Feedbackorgien und gewaltige Krach- und Tempoausbrüche(z.B. Left To Starve).Im Prinzip sagt die Überschrift alles zur DVD.Keine Multiangle-Kamera, kein 5.1-Surround-Sound, keine Doku, keine Kommentarspur, nichts von all dem was heute fast schon Standart für Live-DVDs ist. An Stelle dessen gibt es zwei sehr schweißtreibende authentische EHG-Konzerte, eins aus Baltimore 2009(aus welchem nur wenige Stücke entnommen sind) und eins aus Cleveland 2010(das volle Konzert). Dazu drei Musikvideos die von Fans erstellt wurden. Die Trackliste lässt kaum wünschen überig und natürlich sind Bandhighlights wie Blank, Depress oder das grandiose Sisterfxxker enthalten. Die Kamera ist so dicht, dass man das Gefühl hat zwischen dem Schweiß des Publikums und dem Geifer von Mike IX zu stehen. Dazu stimmt die Chemie, die Chemie der Band stimmte wohl schon immer, die Männer sind zum Großteil miteinander aufgewachsen und das ist in jedem Liveset der Band spürbar, so auch hier. Die Chemie zwischen Band und Publikum hingegen wird wohl immer wieder neu gemischt, doch auch die wird von der dichten Atmosphäre des Liveauftritts getragen.Aber drumherum gibt es eben fast nichts und so kann man höchstens von einer spartanischen aber dafür authentischen LiveDVD in sehr guter Bootlegqualität sprechen.Wer mehr will als eine gute Tonspur und ein mitteläßiges Bild möchte und besonders wer etwas über die Band erfahren möchte sollte die Finger vom Kauf dieser DVD lassen.Wer EHG noch nicht kennt sollte sich zuerst mindestens  Take As Needed for Pain  zulegen anstatt sich diesen rohen Wutklupen so unvorbereitet anzutun.Fans der Band, die in den Genuß eines sehr engen Liveerlebnisses kommen möchten, sollten sich die DVD zulegen, den Raum verdunkeln, den Sound aufdrehen und sich zurücklehnen. 音質はいいです(こういったバンドでいいって言うのも変ですが)、ただカメラワークが単調で観続けてると少し疲れます…が、貴重なライブ映像には変わりないのでファンは買う価値ありだと思います。
