This came shipped as a rigid board, and it is a solid piece. It is gorgeous. No notes, just good quality.

Functionally as desired; Caveat: odor
Looks good, the writing surface is adequate. Out of the bag, the manufacturing left a very strong volatile odor. I couldn't put it on my desk for about 3 days because inhaling it was noxious. Now just a hint of it left
