Best sharpener ever!
Best one I ever used! I had to sign almost 500 of my art prints, + only had to sharpen a few times. Makes a nice point

I wouldn't buy another one.
It does seem to sharpen well. But I had to fight it to get the cover over the batteries back on. Then I had to fight it, thought I broke it, trying to get the cover back onto the compartment where the pencil shavings go. Glad it was pretty cheap because it honestly isn’t worth the trouble of sending it back.

Great Sharpener - works great! No issues!
2nd year purchasing for back to school for my daughters. The girls (8th & 9th grade) say their classmates are always asking to use their sharpener in class, so for Christmas I've purchased all of their classmates their own sharpeners. I've unboxed, put in the batteries, labeled each sharpener with the classmates name & also paired them with a pencil pack & candy.YES, like other reviews say, it is difficult to put in the batteries and re-close the battery door, but for the average person with average strength, it would not be impossible. Only if you have very shaky hands, or have a motor skill disability, otherwise it's definitely possible.

Perfect pencil sharpener a must have
I love that it is easy to use, takes 4 AA batteries which are not included, I bought generic dollar general batteries which work great.Sharpens pencils within seconds, no need to twist and turn pencils anymore with this product.Just simply place pencil in the sharpener, and continue holding it with very little pressure and within like 5 seconds or less you have a perfectly sharpened pencil.Works great with colored pencils as well.I love to draw and I hate to use mechanical pencils that lead breaks when applying little pressure. The regular pencil sharpeners, never get the pencil sharpened perfectly and have a tendency of breaking or falling apart themselves.With this pencil sharpeners, you don't have to worry about that happening, it's affordable for those on a tight budget, or those who like to conserve money.This is a must have for anyone whom draws, writes, has kids in school for their homework.Great for classrooms as well, a must have for everyone.

Works, but finicky. Tiny storage space for shavings
I really like this little sharpener, but you DO get what you pay for. Don't expect a super high quality product that will last for decades. It won't.I had my first one for 7 years before it just broke and I just couldn't figure out why, guessing the motor just wore out. So, bought another to replace it and it is working well still after 3 years.Recently bought one for 4 & 6 year old granddaughters because I like mine so much and they keep losing their manual sharpeners. *PROS:1-Cheap enough to replace as necessary.2-Batteries last a long time. Day one, I sharpened 50 colored pencils and batteries are still strong3-Simple to use.4-Small profile so easy to toss into work or school bag. Doesn't take up much room on desk or in drawer.5-Sharpens well when used properly6-Pretty colors (I chose the blue, it is a medium teal)7-Seems tough enough to handle most falls off of a table or desk but hard, high drops onto tile or stone will shatter the plasticCONS:1-Fussy product.**2-Tips sometimes break off, jamming motor so have to use tweezers to remove3-Small receptacle. Full after 5 or so sharpened pencils4-A real struggle to put battery cover and plastic receptacle cover back on, but once you figure out the "tricks" it isn't hard. *** See below for suggestion hints5-If over-sharpened, it is more likely to break off the tip that can get stuck in the sharpening mechanism.6-Works GREAT with regular and most colored pencils. Some colored pencil brands seem to only sharpen on one side, typically the extra hard "lead"7-There is no size adjustment for pencil diameters. Only works with standard pencils8-Rechargeable batteries work, but don't last as long as non-rechargeable batteries*BE CAREFUL that children know not to put fingers in sharpener as it is big enough hole for tiny fingers. (Putting items other than pencils WILL break the blades and damage the item so keep away from very young children**Often needs you to manually turn the motor with a pencil after it suddenly stops working because something jammed in blades. A few turns usually does the job and it starts working again***Suggestions: take care to insert BATTERY cover into the sliding slots. It will slide in well if you take care to keep it flat, level, and inside those slots. Start reinserting RECEPTACLE cover at bottom. Get it in on the bottom, top, and 1 side, (one side often sticks out) THEN push down on the little tab to get other side closed. (obnoxious, but easily done once you figure that out)

Not impressed considering its a brand name
I would have thought a brand name like ELMERS would make a particualary good pencil, color pencil sharpener. But its really just your basic hand held sharpener housed in a very small plastic partition from which to catch the shavings but just works like a small little sharpener like what it truly is. The side where you stick your pencil in can be small for very fine point or a little bigger which is for a broarder pencil stroke. Neithr can work with out it being plugged in or having batteries. Which I tried both was and it makes no difference except it is more porotable using the battereies. I endeed up returning due to the plastic catch all being so. small after each pencile shaving it seemed as thiought i had just empetied it out have not much before;

I will put it in my art supplies it's great for graphite pencils only..... I didn't read the whole description and bought for grandson. Well it chews up regular pencils and color pencils. Please be smarter than me.

Cheap cuz it’s cheap
I don’t know how anyone sharpens a pencil with this thing. It’s so finicky. There’s a fine line that it has between where the pencil is inserted, where it can sharpen, and the pencil being too far in to sharpen. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Pay the extra few bucks for something that will actually work.
