Believe it or not, I searched extensively for this product. Even though it was only a set of screws; the last thing I wanted was either cheapy, garbage-quality steel or something else made out of a combination of inexpensive metals and then dipped in a 50-gal vat of $.35 Goldenflake paint. I was highly impressed with use and I will buy them every time them, and anytime I need something of this caliber. I will definitely be purchasing these! Great deal!

This is a generic brass screw. Like all brass screws, one has to be careful to not apply too much torque or it will break. The solution is to first put a steel screw in the hole, also to lube the threads (I use [unused] toilet bowl wax ring material for lube.). The screws have a nice polished finish.

I thought they would go flat against the wood but they don't. I had to do more work to get them flat.

Used these for a special project with wood. Look great and go in easily. Hold very well. Good to have on hand in my tool box.
