Can anyone tell me the height of the vertical part of the rack that lays on the wall?

The height of the rack where it mounts to the wall, is 28-3/16". The front support arms that angle downward, measure 31.50".

Quality, durability and 400 lb capacity. I looked in a few stores that had similar racks holding up to 300 lbs. They appeared to be cheaply manufactured. Probably suitable for tires on a small compact car. I have a truck with 20” tired, that are very heavy. I’m glad I bought the 01000 rack. No regrets on this purchase.

What if I only have 4 studs that are 16” on center? It doesn’t appear that easy to add a hole in the mounting plate.

if you can't venter it where you want, mount a 2x4 to the studs then attach the tire rack to the 2x4
