Nice looking and opens and closes easily.
I didn't buy this for toothpicks, I bought it for dental brushes - so it was important that the lid screws and unscrews easily, and it does! Plus the dark color obscures what's inside a bit but still lets me see how many are in there. And it fits a whole pack of dental brushes yet takes up only a small space. It's perfect.

Top Of the Line
These toothpicks are far and away better than Diamond's that you pick up in the grocery store. They are a good solid toothpick that stand up to rigorous use. My dentist has me cleaning my teeth with a tooth pick. You really "use" the pick. Diamond brand tooth picks snap in half under the least pressure and the tips break off. I thought that was just something I'd have to deal with. I'd go through 2-4 picks a cleaning. I purchased these because they have the nice holder, unlike the flimsy box that grocery store brands provide. I evacuate, in my RV, when my neighbors apply pesticide. I wanted toothpicks, that wouldn't end up all over the drawer, because of road vibration. Boy was I surprised at the difference in quality in the picks!! I love the controlled dispenser, too. I saw on the reviews that it was suggested as a gift. At the time I thought "Who'd want that?" Now that I know the difference between quality toothpicks and flimsy ones, and I've become a regular toothpick user, I'd be pleased to receive these as a small gift anytime! I kinda wish they sold refill packs for the dispenser, since I recycle, reuse...

Just what I needed . . .
I purchase "The Doctor's Brushpicks Interdental Toothpicks" which come in a dispenser, but I really dislike the advertising label on the container which is not removable. I like keeping the dispenser on the table instead of a drawer or cabinet for ease of use. I came upon Bonny Bar which is easy to load and dispense the toothpicks, and looks nice on my kitchen table. It did come prefilled with toothpicks, but traded those for the Doctor's.

This is fine, but I wish it were different in 2 ...
This is fine, but I wish it were different in 2 ways:1. I wish that the lid could only rotate a small amount, so that you don't accidentally spin it all the way around to find where the opening is.2. It seems like it is actually hard to get a toothpick out, which seems odd given how wide it is, but I often have to shake it several times to get one out. Perhaps it is due to the hole being set in a bit, such that there is a lip inside that the toothpick has to get around/over.I was worried I'd get too many toothpicks coming out at once, but that is less of a problem than having to shake it several times to get anything to come out; I still prefer this over having to deal with too many all the time.

Nice dispenser + toothpicks ...
I've had a number of toothpick dispensers like this over the years, usually purchased at the supermarket. They don't carry them anymore, so when I saw this one on Amazon, I went ahead and ordered it.I use toothpicks quite a lot in my craft projects (I make hand-crafted greeting cards), as well as in the kitchen (to test the doneness of muffins and cakes) and, of course, as toothpicks. These are nice ones, smooth, no rough edges, sharpened on one end only. The container seems sturdy enough, and the toothpicks are easy to get out.Very nice, you get a lot, and the styling of the dispenser is neutral enough to "hide in plain sight." Solid 4 stars.

I like it
Ok, so the container is great (if you accept the business styled look). The cap screws on, and then the top most part of the cap spins (tightly) relative to the cap, allowing you to open the hole, make it smaller, or completely close it. This dispenses picks just fine. The picks supplied with is is just a starter pack, and they are 2.5 inches long. But, I think this is fine because you obviously going to use your own refills. I think that picks up to and including 3 inches long will work with this as there is a lot of head space left with 2.5 inch picks loaded.

Very Pleased
I received a damaged dispenser lid; it actually appeared to be used because it had scratches and a crack on the side. I contacted the seller and received an immediate response and replacement...great Customer Care!! It is everything I had hoped and is filled with toothpicks; there is one medium-sized hole in the lid to retrieve toothpicks.
