This one gets the robot obsessed toddler approval
I absolutely love this book. The innocence of Boy is so delightful when he meets Bot, but something goes terribly wrong. Boy doesn't know it, but the power button on Bot was accidently turned off. I want to instil empathy and caring for others in Gigi from a very early age, so I just adore that Boy tries everything to make Bot better, until he tucks him in and falls asleep.A serendipitous moment occurs and Bot finds himself in a similar position, trying everything to make Boy better.Just look at the illustrations, they are absolutely wonderful. I can't help but chuckle as Bot tries to wake Boy up by giving him oil and reading an instruction manual to him, priceless.Eventually Bot takes Boy to his Inventor, and of course, the Inventor FREAKS OUT, when he realises Bot has unwittingly taken Boy from his parents. This is a delightful book that I will absolutely love reading to Gigi day in and day out, and I don't think I will ever get sick of looking at those awesome illustrations. They truly make this book a 5 star read.

A fun read; my toddler son really enjoys the book
The story is very sweet. A boy and a robot meet and spend the day playing together. The robot's power switch is accidently turned off and the boy brings him home and cares for him. While the boy sleeps, the robot's switch is knocked back on, and now, confused by the sleeping boy's failure to respond, the robot takes the boy back to the robot's house and attempts to care for him. It's a sweet story of looking out for one another and my toddler son really enjoys the book. I confess, I grow tired of reading it because the story is so short and simple. The pictures are also fun, but not long-time intriguing. I purchased the book because I was changing my son's room to a robot-theme and thought this would be a good addition. Again, he enjoys the book quite a bit, which is really the most important part of this recommendation.

Sweet, fun story (4.5 stars!)
I give this 4.5 stars! A sweet, simple story of unlikely but unhesitant friendship between Boy and his new robot friend, Bot. The author follows a fantastic story arc, letting us meet characters on page one, introducing conflict by page 4, and allowing the characters a few opportunities to solve the conflict for each other. Everything about this story is sweet. I love the reciprocal actions between Boy and Bot, each "helping" in his own way and as he best knows how. The illustrations are bright and simple, yet beautiful and telling. My preschooler LOVES to re-read this book, which adds to its longevity and value.

Cute Book
My 2-year-old developed a fear of robots (no idea why, just one of those things) and I wanted to help him get over his fear by showing him an example of robots being "nice". I found this book. He really likes it, asking to read it nightly. This is a simple and easy-to-understand book for him which teaches concepts of caring for others and being friends with those who are different than you. It's the perfect length so that he doesn't get bored by too many words. I also bought him a robot shirt, and I think he is starting to get over his fear.

5 year old who wishes this book was non-fiction
Another great robot book for my son who is infatuated with robots. A book about a boy and his robot, what could be better?

A cute story for all those robot lovers out there.
My two year old is obsessed with robots so I had to give this book a try. This is a very cute and creative story about a boy and his friend, a robot. My son LOVES it but I don't mind reading it over and over because it is a short, to the point book that is entertaining enough for parents too. This book was also of high quality for the price. I like the illustrations and the concept behind the story is original.

This item arrived on time. This book is read to my son often. The ending is MAYBE a little dark....it definitely makes you think. Nothing scary. My son is 2 and he enjoys it

Good for very young kids.
My 4 year old daughter loves this, it's quite short, so she knew it off by heart after a week, and I tend to read it twice in a row because she asks me to. The drawings are lovely, and the quality of the paper and cover are really good. Really cute little story that's very easy for younger children to understand.

Maravilloso
