EASY FIX!!!
All the other reviews are correct; they were too small for our cabinets and didn't open completely to get on/off. BUT IT'S AN EASY FIX!!! We unscrewed the 2 little screws so it would come apart, then took an exacto knife and cut the little piece that blocked it from sliding completely apart. Then, put the screws back on and it works perfectly!! Took about 5 min to do 6. Not the easiest solution, it seems like they could have done that to begin with. But it still locks in place (still need to push button to open), and saved us from having to return and start the " baby proofing" process all over again, when nothing else fits.

Love them!
My husband actually asked if I would write a review for these locks since they are so great. I have nannyed and worked with kids forever and I have to say that these are the greatest cupboard locks by far. They hold my cabinet closed and are still easy for us parents to unlock to open the cabinets. Honestly, my baby is only 9 months and has not yet shown interest in getting into the cupboards so I can't say at this point if he will be able to figure out how to open them himself but so far so good for us! They look a little silly but for ease of use and installment I am all for it!

Concept is good
I didn't do a good enough job in researching my own cabinet handles before I ordered these, so I found out that they were the wrong size for my application. Oops. So, while we don't use them in our kitchen, I did find that they were super for keeping my twin boys from letting the puppy out of his kennel without permission. lol The concept is just fine, and they are a lot sturdier than the locks that we are using at the moment. I just wished that they would have worked better with our specific cabinet handles/ lengths. Again, not a fault of the product. It was all user error when ordering. :)

Works for me....and I have a daycare.
I love these latches. They work WONDERFUL for me and like I had stated; I have a daycare. They can be short for some items, but if found that 9 out of 10 time that it works for what I need them to do. They are not to had to get apart, but hard enough that my 2 yr. old can't get in (and that is saying A LOT, there isn't much that keeps her out), but my 6 yr. old can, (which is just fine for us). We had tried a different kind and found that we (the parents) couldn't open our self's. I with it was still a prime item, but oh well. Other then that, I think they are GREAT and would (and have) buy them again.

Works only if ALL these measurements are satisfied
As a few others have pointed out, the product looks to be of decent quality. However, usage can be significantly limited due to size specifications of the lock. 1. The distance between the two inner curved edges of the lock (designed to secure the cabinet door knobs together) extend from about 3.75 inches to 4.75 inches. If the distance between your door knobs is not within this range, you cannot get a snug fit. 2. If the distance between the knobs is less than 3.75 in (upto 1.5 in), you may be able to use the lock provided the conditions below are met. But here is the problem I see with it: your child may not be able to totally separate the two cabinet doors, but because the loose fit of the lock allows for some play, the doors may give enough room (when pulled by the lock) for your kid to squeeze his/ her hand into the cupboard and get hurt 3. The curved edges have an inner diameter of about 1 inch. If the mushroom knob has a larger head, then you will not be able to put the lock in place. 4. The lock has a thickness of about 0.5 in. Unless the stem of the mushroom knob extends at least that much, the lock will be unusable (the lock design is such that it is 0.3 in thick at the curved edges and tapers up to 0.5 in at the extensible side, but because of the shorter tread of the extension, it does not make it any easier). Some D-shaped handles with thin frames may work with this lock. I ran out of luck with every single cabinet that I wanted to secure in my home; and so, these are going back. It would really help if the product description included the range that the lock can accommodate.

What I expected, but prefer others
I was intrigued by these for the reviews and how simple they looked to use. This is all true, but they're more annoying to get on and off than the other door locks we've seen and tried (we ended up using Safety 1st and Dreambaby cabinet locks - they look like this "Dreambaby Sliding Locks"). The brand didn't matter much, it was just so much simpler to get them on and off, and you don't have to hold in a button with one hand and move the lock with the other. The sliding locks can be used one-handed, and for any depth knob (the other issue we noticed, but expected, with these locks).

Does the job without damage to my cabinets or hands!
We've got many cabinets around our house, most of which are with the standard two adjacent knobs. Our younger kids are aged 5, 3, and 1, and we are pretty much at the point now where we've tried everything. On the cabinets where our clever 5-year-old isn't even allowed in, I use the more complex safety locks that involve pushing two buttons, breaking off a nail, and painfully pinching at least two of your fingers simultaneously. However, we also have cabinets that I just want our little one to stay out of to avoid messes (i.e., kitchen cabinets and toy storage), and I refused to subject myself to constant torture from the Safety 1st contraptions. These simple slide locks are PERFECT, because he can't get into the cabinets, yet it is a simple press and slide action for me to get to things. Again, not recommended for cabinets where dangerous chemicals or tempting tidbits for older kids would be kept, but GREAT for areas that you need quick access to!

Not good for knob-style cabinet pulls.
These plastic locks are acceptable, quality-wise, but they're very easy to defeat if you have knob-style cabinet pulls. They don't need to be opened, as they just slip over the knobs (obviously, depending on how big your knobs are--but the standard "builder grade" knobs I'm talking about). They're only good for the very youngest toddlers, and don't let them see you opening them, especially if you're lazy and just slip them off. We only have one of these on the tall pantry cabinet now. Since our toddler can't reach the lock, he can't take it off. We've replaced the rest of the cabinet locks with KidCo spring-action cabinet locks . The Kidco locks need to be screwed into the frame and the door/drawer, but they're much more secure. Bottom line: Don't bother with these. Even if they work for a while, you'll be replacing them soon.
