Item fit my drainpipe perfectly, easy to install, appears to be of good quality and good value for money. Upon checking it after a heavy rain, it did what it was intended to do. Item received promptly & well-wrapped. Would buy from this seller again if need similar item.

I was a bit disappointed in the thinness of this adapter. It doesn't give me a lot of confidence in it lasting for years outside. It's fine in terms of fitment. It's a snug fit, especially on the gutter downspout, but it does fit my 3x4 downspout, and connects fine to a 4 inch drainage hose. The flexible section is a real plus to easily allow for alignment. One star down for thinness/durability, but otherwise a good adapter.

I used these on my down spouts to connect drain pipes to the gutter down spouts and these work perfectly. Easy to install. The black 4 in drain pipes are stiff and hard to bend and difficult to stick on my down spouts and these flex-drain adapters make it easy . The adapter snaps into the drain pipe and slips over the down spout. I did put two screws into the adapter and down spout to hold it in place when I move the drain pipes to cut grass. It rains so much anymore that its necessary to drain the rain water away from the foundation and these adapters make it easy to do

Yes, I could have purchased from my local home improvement store but I didn’t want to drive up there for just this item. It didn’t fit my downspout and I had to return it. I ended up locally fr a larger one. This extender if using for a residential downspout probably will fit. I needed one that was for a commercial size since I live on top floor of a condo bldg and the water from gutters settles near my door on the terrace. Measure you downspout before ordering.

Flex-Drain Flexible Landscaping Drain Pipe System I have mixed feelings about this line of product. It is relatively inexpensive, pretty easy to install and for the most part, it does what it's supposed to. I do however have complaints. While many components are readily available they fail to tell you that the components won't go together unless you buy the coupler (55020 Drain Pipe Coupler). Without this critical piece you end up trying to connect pieces that are male on both sides and will not interlock with each other. Secondly I question the long term durability of this system as it is somewhat fragile and damages easily. In fact while stretching it out with my bare hands I was able to overstretch a few parts causing some crumpling which creates a weakened spot. I also have had the coupled pcs. pop apart and while snapping them back together is relatively easy it is a pain in the butt. I like the system but I have to say I think it was poorly thought out. The couplers which are used throughout the system are really just pressure fit. There are no pieces that actually "positive lock" together which is disappointing. While I am happy for now, I pretty much know I will be redoing this in a few years because as I stated I don't see these lasting very long. Overall I am giving it 3 stars mainly because it does what it is supposed to but I must say I think I am being generous with that rating. About my rating system 3 stars = meets expectations 1 or 2 stars = fails to meet expectations 4 or 5 stars = exceeds expectations and really rocks! How I came up with 3 stars on this item. 1. ease of installation = 4 stars 2. durability = 2 stars 3. Instructions = 0 (There are none, there is nothing on their website) The retailer I bought some of these components from did NOT sell the darn couplers so finding out that I needed them and tracking them down was a PAIN As always, If you have a question, post it I usually responde within 24 hours.

This down spout adapter fit nicely to my rectangular drain pipe coming off the roof. I wanted to have it bend at the bottom and although it does not stretch out too far, it is built very sturdy, a consideration for me with wayward weed- wacking gardener as part of it will be exposed. Also part of the terminal end of this piece would be attached and buried in a small trench I dug as it attaches to the plastic pipe:" Flex-Drain 54001 Flexible/Expandable Landscaping Drain Pipe, Solid, 4-Inch by 8-Foot" that screwed on perfectly. I got most of this to go under ground on a slope for drainage. What I did not anticipate is that I would need yet another kind of coupler (with two female ends) to attach a guard to keep vermin out of the pipe as it exited from the ground. I placed a separate order for this:" Flex-Drain 55020 Drain Pipe Coupler Adapter, Female to Female" so I was able to attach the drain guard at the end that I found locally.

Eash to install and is flexible so you can connect to something else to run the water away from your walls. I did put a sheet metal screw in to make sure it didn't get knocked or moved after my installation
