I have gardened in Florida for years, but after moving to Hawaii needed some assistance with the vegetable garden. A wonderful resource.

Good for a quick overview
Book is great in concept but doesn't give enough detail for a beginner. Some good ideas for more experienced growers.

Good, could be better.
This book, Speedy Vegetable Garden, is about many micro vegetable possibilities, it is good and has given me a few good ideas on what to grow quickly. It is short on what size, in inches, of container to use for these vegetables, such as carrots or lettuce. Worth the price. Gil

lots of micro stuff
Lots of great info on micro greens and I thought from previous reviews that it was more about container or raised beds--not!

A lot of fuff - Missnamed
Although this book is somewhat interesting, it's Miss-named. It's not about a speedy garden. It's about planting a variety of plants and harvesting them when they're 2 inches high, and then recipes to use the baby leaflets. There is no Vegetable component to it, it's about using a variety of micro-greens in salads. Not what it was described as. It was an interesting read but of no future value. A better Title might have been, "Grow some green stuff in your house and impress your snobbish friends"

Beautiful, useful book
I found this book at the library, and it contained so much good information that I bought a copy for my own library. It currently is offered at a deep discount, so the book is very affordable. It has everything I like about a gardening book: detailed, practical instructions; gorgeous, clear photos; recipes that use what you grow; and lots of very specific growing tips. The authors are British, so the advice is geared a bit toward that environment, but the advice is applicable to North American gardens.I am a very experienced gardener, seed sprouter, and cook, but I learned several things from this book. I even learned about Erbette, an Italian salad green I had never heard of.

Fast, fuss free and fabulous
I love this idea. I had never thought that by eating veg in its tiny form that I could get even more nutrients from it. And its all so quick and tasty.Give it a go.

speedy veg speedy read
I thought this might have some good growing tips but it didnt tell me anything new that i couldnt get from some other source or the seed packet. If your interested in seed sprouts or cut and come again lettuce etc you probably already know the info in this book. Most of the info could have been put on a double sided a4 sheet.
