ECCO Women's Yucatan Sport Sandal

This is a cheap plastic knockoff. I ordered the black and compared them to my real tan ECCOs. The difference is obvious. The insole is shiny plastic instead of the soft fabric with the red/grey ECCO pattern; Real Yucatans have a flexible fabric lining between all the strap and your skin which provides extreme comfort whereas this knockoff is hard, cheap, plastic that causes blisters; note the front strap on the black on separates, whereas the real one has a continuous fabric band that cannot be opened. I am returning it.

This is the 8th pair of women’s ECCO Yucatan sandals I have purchased for myself. I have also purchased them for my daughters & my sister. Additionally, I have touted them to friends & other walkers who ask me what I think of them. They WERE the best sandals I have ever owned - great for hiking through dirt, mud, water & city streets. You’d think ECCO Customer Service would care about the opinion of any purchaser, but perhaps even moreso from one who has bought so many pairs over the years. BUT THEY DID NOT SEEM TO CARE.ECCO Yucatans have added “Off Road” to their name along with some cool new colors; however, they have simultaneously CHEAPENED THE PRODUCT: the foot bed has lost quite a bit of cushiony bounce & the buckle through which the velcro strap is fed is now a cheap piece of plastic with sharp edges.So, as a loyal customer, I thought I should let the good folks at ECCO know my thoughts, only to discover that their representatives really aren’t that good at all. A Customer Service rep rather snippily and and unsympathetically informed me that their product planning dept makes changes from time to time that not all consumers may like. When asked if I might be transferred to that dept., she said , “Oh no, they NEVER talk to customers!” When I asked her why they didn’t care what consumers thought of product changes, she said they have “other ways” of learning about a product’s success.Well, I can truthfully no longer recommend these sandals. They were wonderful shoes until they recently cut down on comfort and durability, and generally cheapened their wonderful product. VERY DISAPPOINTING! If you’ve purchased the Yucatan in the past, you will be disappointed in what they are selling today. And the company seems uninterested in customer feedback.

Bought these for my trip to Cancun. Wore them for two day tours to Chichen Itza and Tulum. They were comfortable, even after a couple hours of walking with them on. I usually wear a size 7.5 or 8 in shoes, but the 8-8.5 fit well, just needed to pull the straps a little tighter. I got the floral print because I wanted shoes that weren't just good for walking outdoors but also pretty.

I received these shoes yesterday. Quality Control No. 04 clearly didn't do their job. The shoe colors are off and don't match each other at all. One of the shoes has some sort of adhesive spills on the fabric. Both shoes have poor workmanship in stitching and trimming excess fabric. I'd expect that at a shoe outlet or factory store but not from Amazon. I didn't even try them on. They're going back, unfortunately.

I just bought a pair of Yucatan outdoor off-road hiking sandals in rose dust/powder. Reviews and Amazon suggested I order a 7( I wear 6.5 or 7). My feet appear to fit within the sandals appropriately. However, within 20 minutes these sandals had dug cruel holes in many places around both of my feet. Across the top of both feet, the clasp pinches and sucks my flesh up into a painful fold inside the Velcro clasp. The front edge of the clasp has dug blisters into my two last toes on both feet. There are horrible gouges on the inside of both feet near the inner ankle. I prevented further injury to the top of my foot over my big toes, and under the Velcro buckle, as well as on the outside ankle of both feet by putting mole skin in those areas( so unattractive). I’ve had the sandals off now for an hour and all of these areas are stinging and raw.I considered returning for a smaller size, but the same color shoe one size down is literally twice as much in cost as this one, and I have no way of knowing whether this will make the injuries worse. I can’t say that I’m willing to risk it.These were supposed to be my comfortable walking summer sandal. They are horrible, and cost way too much. I paid to suffer.So disappointed

The insole was very slim and not at all enough cushion for long walks especially for someone with plantar fasciitis. I don't know if this item sent to me was an original It seems fake. I had to return it. I will go tomorrow to the outlet store and compare. It is not cheap so I expect better quality.

Falling apart after 3 month of gentle wear, a hole on a second sandal too, contacted ecco, ecco said wew will change to new sandals, thats where everything died. No response on how to do it.....i will post update if anything new

I generally don't purchase knock offs but I made an exception with these cute Ecco brand. I am not disappointed.I wear a size 7.5regular. But my feet are kind of similar to Fred Flintstone's. These dogs don't look good in sandals.However I can get by in these sandals.So if you too are not blessed in in fancy feet department you too can wear these cute sandals.Additionally I have a balance disorder since a stroke 2 years ago. These sandals are secure on my feet with all the adjustment features and I feel very stable in them.The price is fair and color choices adequate.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis and was looking for a supportive sandal and found it here. My feet are quite wide, and I normally take a 39, but I read trhe advice written in the Q and A and went to the Ecco website and used their simple method to measure my feet, and on the basis of that ordered a 40. The shoes are adjustable enough to get a precise fit, and the insole is like a dense cushion, and now can walk for the first time in 4 months without pain.They were expensive, (I am a cheapskate) but are well worth the money.My daughter has been wearing the same pair of Ecco sandals for 3 summers, and I have every confidence these will be as hardwearing.

Outdoor Schuhe heißt für mich, ich darf auch mal durch eine feuchte Wiese im Sommer gehen. Nicht mit diesen Ecco Schuhen. Auch feucht abwischen nicht möglich. Die rote Farbe läuft in die andere Farbe über, die Füße werden rot - einfach unmöglich! Da eine Rückgabe an den Händler nicht mehr möglich, versuchte ich es beim Hersteller. Hier wurde durch die Abteilungen gereicht, sollte Bilder schicken und landete dann wieder bei der ersten Abteilung, die mich dann wieder an den Händler verwies. Einen Stern für die Bequemlichkeit der Schuhe -ansonsten nie wieder Ecco!!

Lovely Sandals really like the multi colour mix, quite subtle in the 'flesh'. I've had this style before so I knew they'd fit and anyway all the adjustable straps give you the opportunity to get them just right I think though that this style is quite narrow, so probably not good if you have wider feet.

Absolutely fabulous sandles I have problems with my feet (stretched tendons) so need orthotics in everything or shoes with good arch support and these do have excellent arch support just done a long walk with no problems beautiful soft footbed and straps to your individual width. Excellent "you only get what you pay for"........

I needed comfortable and supportive sandals due to having an Achilles problem and plantar fasciitis and these sandals have helped me walk more easily . Can’t fault them . They are lovely and soft too . Delivery was faster than expected which is always a bonus
