Aliens: The Essential Comics Volume 1 Kindle & comiXology

For those of you that might not know this but this is a re-issue of Alien Omnibus 1. However, there are some differences in the sentences as well as the characters. Most notable for example is that in the Aliens Omnibus 1, the main female character is Billie, but in this version they refer to her as "Newt" and basically is Newt and Hicks story if Alien 3 never happened in the first place. You will see a difference in artists and how they represented the characters as this is technically a re-issue of the same comic except some phrases have been re-written or some have been modified while 95% of it is still the same. The point is that if you love Aliens, Ripley, Hicks and Newt. Then this is an imagining of what might have happened if Alien 3 never happened in the first place.However, if you are someone who already has Alien Omnibus vol1 then unless you want to see the name of the Newt, Hicks and Ripley be there, then go ahead and but this otherwise this is not a must for you to have.

It's really a fun story, but the book is already worn just from reading it. After opening the book completely, there's a crease down the spine and the middle pages look like they're coming unglued already. I definitely recommend this book for the story and the price, but the quality of the physical book could be a little better.

Loved this collection of older comics. Hope they come out with a volume 2

It's great to be able to read all the comics I used to read as a kid. Quality of the book is good, print quality is good as well.

As a big Alien fan this classic comic scratched an itch for more stories about the xenomorph. And it was cool to see an alternate date for the original characters prior to the third film.

This comic book series bookended the amazing ALIEN and ALIENS movies perfectly when I read this back in the late 80s or early 90s. It’s vastly better than the sequels and spin-offs that followed. It’s amazing why the studios didn’t just make a movie of these or hire these writers to write the ALIEN sequels. This is an excellent series and well worth the asking price.

Collects the original graphic novels that take place after Aliens and ignore Alien 3. Some very interesting stories which expand the Xeno mythology and we learn more about what happened to Hicks and Newt after Aliens. Ripley shows up later on and it is very satisfying.

Great continuation of the story ot Hicks, Newt and Ripley following Aliens. All originally published before Alien 3, this gives us a much different story. When Alieb 3 was released, and promptly killed Hicks and Newt, names were changed for the novels and in some reprints of these graphic novels, to fit in the canon. These, however, are the original versions with the names kept as first written. A fantastic collection for any Aliens fan to have. Can't wait for the next volume

I remember the first run of these comics the artwork and print was amazing 25 years later the re-print just isn't as good as the original print run . Great stories though this how the films should of gone after aliens instead of the shockingly bad alien 3
