Kirkland Signature Fruit Snacks Pouches, 80 Count

As snacks go, these are better for my grandsons than most. They're made from real fruit, have no artificial sweetener or preservatives, provide 100% of the RDA of Vitamin C and are gluten free. Best of all, the boys love them. At $21.50 for a box of 80, they only cost about 27 cents a pouch. How can you go wrong?

I decided to purchase this item because I am familiar with Kirkland. They specialize in multivitamins which I have several of their multivitamins. and I got these fruit "chewable vitamins" because of the Vitamin C. My previous brand of additional Vitamin C was from a brand called Black Forest, box of 80 packages. These have been discontinued and replaced with smaller, and more expensive boxes. I decided to switch to Kirkland.WHOEVER PROCESSED MY ORDERS SELECTED U.S.P.S. WHICH HAS A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF CAUSING DELIVERY ISSUES TO THOSE WHO ARE OUTSIDE OF THE CITY LIMITS.I was able to retrieve my orders and I will say that the taste is quite different from Black Forest. Black Forest has a syrupy filling but not too sweet. It reminds me of "Diet Fruit Gushers". The quality of Black Forest has declined and they even have very few gummies in each package. Meanwhile Kirkland has many in the package but they are much smaller. However, Black Forest tastes exactly like fruit. If you take these "pills" with water, then might be similar to "Space Food". All you have to do is "Just Add Water" and Instant Fruit Juice! Kirkland does not taste like real fruit. It tastes like cheap watered down Kool-Aid. But one advantage of Kirkland is that they have much more variety of Fruit even if it does not even taste like fruit.The brand I am going to try next is Great Value (not sold on Amazon) but I am familiar with Great Value. They are the most affordable but their gummies are smiley face balls. I got tired of them because their faces were mutilated. Would people just please do something like Wendy's did with their botched beef patties ... They would NOT SELL THE BAD BATCHES as patties, and instead dump it in the chili?! In other words can't these fruit snack companies just leave out the bad batches and don't sell the bad batches?!No matter what the brand, there are always problems with them. I got these mainly for the Vitamin C. Kirkland has many advantages but they also have many disadvantages. If you buy these Kirkland Vitamin C "Pills" then you will most likely be "just satisfied" but nothing excited about them.

It tastes okay but not exactly like the Welch's. The reason I am giving four instead of five is that each individual package requires more effort to open the individual packages. Those each individual packages do not have the perforation mark for eaters to open easily. It is not so easy to open the Kirkland’s individual packages as Welch’s. Welch’s have a perforation mark on every individual package making it so simple and quick to open the packages. One time I tried to open the Kirkland package with my four fingers and progressively with my teeth but they all turned out to be unsuccessful until I cut it open with a scissor.

These are not the fruit snacks pictured. These are the new Organic ones that are squishier and taste awful. Seller did take back the boxes as they were not what was pictured and did issue a refund but still I don't have these. These were the best fruit snacks ever!

Some of the fruit snacks came open inside of the box. They were stale and gross so I had to throw them away and waste them. Other than that they tasted great.

I've tried just about every brand of fruit snacks available due to having many food allergies and fruit snacks being one of the few treats I can have. These fruit snacks for the price are the best I've had. If you like fruit snacks that are not super chewy, taste like what they are shaped like, and don't have some odd chemical after taste these are the ones!
