Did the trick
My positive battery cable kept slipping off of the post and wreaked havoc on things.I installed the postive terminal and no problems since.I would give it a 5 star, but I was a little unhappy with the design of the bolts holding the clamp on. Basically you want your cable to be as securely fastened as possible, so I would like to tighten those down as much as possible, but the problem is that the bolts extend beyond the bottom of the terminal and prevent the terminal from laying flush if you tighten them too much.I was able to get it on to my satisfaction, but I would have preferred a few more turns...

Works for my application.
I have had two different Computer UPS units fail because of the battery. Purchased a set of jumper cables, but the clips would not make a good enough electrical connection to power the UPS from a deep cycle boat battery. Took a chance, bought these and now the UPS works like a champ. In fact as I am writing this review, there is a thunder storm and the power has blipped 4 times from 2 seconds to 20 seconds, but the computer never new it.

the battery terminals were colored when black and red when I received them. Picture does not match the product received. Had to sand the color off to make a better connection. I ended up just fixing my old terminals and using them. these also were not very heavy duty.

A necessary safety measure when replacing battery terminals
Very good! The reason I especially like these replacement terminals is that if I am not around and my wife has our car and it needs to be jumped, it is very clear due to the color-coding: Black for Negative; Red for Positive, both of which are universal. As someone who has had a battery blow up in their face (I was not permanently scarred, thank God!), this is SO important. Good show!

Negative terminal split while tightening. As in, the bolt came rolling out the front of the clamp. The terminal was still loose at this point on a pretty pristine Optima battery, so it wasn't an over-tightening issue. I had never heard of this happening prior. Perhaps the negative terminal was too large? That or the metal was more brittle than anything I have ran into before.

PERFECT SOLUTION
Product is as exactly shown. Newer vehicles use batteries with smaller sized posts, using this to attach the ground cable worked perfectly.
