Physical Therapy Case Files: Acute Care 1st Edition

This is a must have book for any PT working in the Acute Care Setting, Home Care Setting or working with medically complex patients. The book's chapters are broken up by diagnosis, with details about the pathophysiology, medical treatment, and PT interventions. This is a very "dense" book, full of details and useful information about patient's with particular diagnosis that critical care therapists encounter daily. I purchased this book and plan to use it for competencies for my acute care PTs and PTAs.

Going from skilled nursing center to a hospital I found this very helpful in values and another viewpoint of treatment!

Great book - lots of helpful hints and it really helps you learn how to think through a case

This book provides great exposure to real life scenarios and PT actions taken as a result. Dr. Jobst has done a great job compiling authors with expert-level recommendations for different patient scenarios.

Very helpful case book for future physical therapists . Includes study questions at the end of each case to test your knowledge.

A great way to learn and I enjoyed reading the cases!

It was for more trauma than I was expecting. Not really my field of experti. Less trauma, more therapy needed
