Body Wash...Maybe, Shampoo Not So Much
I used this three times as a shampoo in a bath rather than a shower. Now, admittedly, I had baking soda in the water the first time (I had previously tried baking soda with similar results as the following), so I decided to stick with it to see if results would change, but they didn't really. I have long hair, and this stuff is next to impossible to distribute throughout my hair without A LOT of work (i.e. multiple applications to different areas of my head). Once I did, it seemed to rinse fairly easily, but it was a sticky mess when I got out & tried to brush/comb it. Then when I looked at the hair that came out & my brush & comb I figured out why--it left a waxy white residue all in my hair & in my brush & comb! Yuck! I even had sprayed Apple Cider Vinegar on as conditioner which may have been the only reason it was able to be combed at all!I like the idea that it is free of so much of the garbage that is usually put in shampoos, but with my long hair & chronic condition, I don't have the time, energy & patience to tolerate such work as this was! It takes a lot of muscle which I don't have to comb through the mess it made & I'm just not up for cleaning my brush & comb with dishwashing liquid every day! Not to mention the unmanageability of my hair! I can pay a lot less to use baking soda & get the same results. I'm bummed as I wanted to like this option.Maybe we'll use it for body wash, or hand soap, but I'm begging the creator to please take the "Shampoo" label off this product & save some people a lot of trouble, including yourself.UPDATE: I decided to try this soap in a foaming hand soap dispenser and its performance is awful even for that application. It does not allow itself to be turned into foam--better use castile soap for that. I ended up using it occasionally for body wash, and in a regular hand soap dispenser. Finally, it does fine in this capacity! I'm still bummed I can't use it for shampoo. On the positive side, this item came packaged very well, plastic wrapped to a piece of cardboard to both keep it from moving around & leaking all over. Packaging was nothing short of genius!

Great shampoo for me
I've used this shampoo for years. I do have shorter hair, which makes it easier. Its bland composition is good for my scalp. It is a bit drying, and I occasionally use a clarifying shampoo to counter any build-up. I have an immune system condition that resulted in some increasing baldness until I discovered that frequent shampooing with a non-irritating product would stabilize my scalp. It's so mild that I once brushed my teeth with it!For the past three years, the baldness has been arrested. So I love this stuff. (I alternate it with a prescribed fungicidal shampoo, because I feel that the immune system reaction was triggered by an excessive amount of sebum called seborrhea, which I've always had. It seems to be associated with very thick hair that doesn't permit the scalp to breathe.)

Love this shampoo โย please don't ever stop making it!
I've been using this shampoo for years and I love it. I give the bottle a good shake before I dispense the shampoo (otherwise you won't get the proper texture of the shampoo and I suspect that might have led to the problems described in a two-star review here). I find that the shampoo leaves my hair really clean. It lathers at first but by the time you go to rinse it off there is very little lather remaining. It's still doing the job โ there's just not a lot of bubbles. This might be why that same person thought they needed to apply a lot of shampoo over many different places in their scalp. I have a bit of a problem scalp myself, prone to dandruff, itchiness, etc but since I started using this shampoo about 4 or 5 years ago I have had no problems. I'm 49 and not a single gray hair. I credit this shampoo in part for this as I believe all the chemicals and garbage found in regular shampoos age our hair and cause premature graying, balding etc. Just my theory... BTW I use another natural shampoo once in every 3 or 4 washes to give my hair a break from this one โย I think that's essential for avoiding shampoo burnout.
