Common Weeds: Coloring Book

This was on my daughter in laws Christmas list so it was bought as a gift. Nice coloring book at a great price.

She thought it was hysterical that I bought her a coloring book of weeds, but once she started coloring and reading she thought it was pretty cool. The book has good information and the pictures are lovely. I like to teach the grandkids how important and valuable "weeds" are. We spend hours just in the yard identifying these gems. Books like these make it so accessible for the younger set to learn what treasures and helpers grow right under our feet.

Beautiful pictures, very nice. And the weeds included are very common ones that we encounter daily in most of the U.S. I bought this book to use in a class about edible weeds and wild flowers. Some of the captions at the bottom of the pages (under the pictures) however, discuss the plant ONLY from the perspective of it being a bothersome weed. That's fine, but required a bit more explaining on my part to our class participants (one person's weed is another person's dinner!)

I like it, but, the drawings could be more detailed, and more info on the uses of these weeds, by humans, and more importantly, the weeds ecosystems, could be included easily ( like what creatures survive eating these plants, and or pollinate them, eg Monarch butterfly and milkweed). Also if you want to keep a nice copy, you must make a copy because these pictures are printed on the front and back of the same oages, so colorung one may ruin the other. For a few dollars more Id be willing to pay for the above, however for the low price paid and free shipping occassional entertainment has been well worth the price. Plus you can color so colorfully that the pictures will be nice no matter what!

Really well done illustrations, have not colored them in yet, a good way to learn to identify some interesting plants. There are several similar books in the series, all are worthwhile.

Love this little coloring book, helps pass the time when my daughter wants me to hang out with her and color. I get the herb book and she gets Frozen!

Bought for granddaughter and she love it

I'm painting my own Materia Medica for Herbal Medicines. The 'weeds' in this are HERBS. Nice clear drawings and I can use them for my studies.

livret anglophone agrafé souple grand format ancien (1976) présentant 43 espèces de plantes habituellement qualifiées de "mauvaises herbes" en n&b prêtes à être coloriées; en bas de page, le nom en anglais; des images en couleur servant de modèles sont sur les pages de garde; ce livre de coloriage non exhaustif sera parfait pour l'initiation à la botanique d'enfants de plus de sept ans suffisamment soigneux et patients pour s'appliquer; pour acquérir d'autres ouvrages de la même série (taper sur le moteur de recherche d'Amazon: Dover coloring book); je pense qu'il vaut mieux préférer les ouvrages neufs même s'ils sont légèrement plus chers pour éviter le risque de se retrouver avec un exemplaire crayonné! (ce qui était le cas pour une image de cet exemplaire heureusement coloriée avec soin
