I purchased this item on April 25, 2017 and I must say that this product is a life saver or rather a wallet saver. Long story short: The driver’s side headlight on my 2012 Kia Sorento had failed. I originally thought that it was a blown headlight, but later discovered that one of the wires on the headlight pigtail was loose. The dealership tried to sell me on the idea that the entire wiring assembly may be faulty. I was looking at nearly $300 for parts; plus labor. After conducting research on the internet, I discovered that the problem could be resolved by simply replacing the pigtail. I went to AutoZone and purchased a replacement pigtail for $11 and ordered the Posi-Lock wire connectors Assortment Pack from Amazon for about $9. The Posi-Lock Connectors were extremely easy to use; no soldering or crimping. It took me about 10 minutes to replace the faulty headlight pigtail and cost roughly $20; versus the $300 for parts plus labor rip-off from the dealer. That’s a deal that you can’t beat with a stick.

Bought them to keep on my motorcycle for emergency 12v electrical repairs. A little pricey but well worth it if I have to make a repair in the middle of nowhere. Space saving over having to bring strippers (jacknife will do), crimpers, connectors, tape, etc. Jury still out on long term use. No firsthand experience. Not sure how they would stand up to heat and water. Hopefully I'll never find out!

These are easy to use and I trust them to keep a connection better than the crimp style. Great to have with you in case of an emergency repair.

I'll use these over all the other methods of contecting wires only issue is cost but I'll deal with that.
