William Sheppee Saddler Side Table

The table is beautiful, very sturdy and well built. It's nice that it came fully assembled. The problem is that it had dents on all four edges on the top from not being protected enough in the box. The corners had extra padding, but the rest was just covered in a thin sheet of foam wrapping. The box itself was just a regular cardboard box, not sturdy enough to protect the wood during shipping.

We liked the table, but as many others have warned, the table arrived damaged. One leg had a notch out of it; another leg was split. I don't think there is anything wrong with the table, but the way UPS delivered it (and picked it up), it is not surprising that the table was damaged. There was a "this side up" label on the package which was not adhered to. The deliverer stood the flipped the table over to align it on the cart trolley and flipped it again while loading it onto the truck.

After receiving two damaged tables, I gave up. It was just what I was looking for, looked very sturdy, but could not withstand the flimsy box it was rolled in on. What a waste of good furniture!

Sturdy, attractive, carefully packaged for shipment; wierd to buy heavy furniture this way but we're happy with the results. I would buy this brand again.

I hate my table. I have it covered with a cloth. Why? Everything stains it. A damp cup. A damp hand. It's full of stains and I'm totally ashamed of it. I was very well looked after but it takes too much work to look after it. Shame. It wasn't cheap

I bought this table as a podium, a table to stand on for my wifes Hot Yoga Studio. It is very solid, very well built. The top is about an inch thick and reinforced underneath by a stiff cross board. The construction is very high qulity. The wood is beautiful, the grain is stunning. Very well finshed. It weighs about 100 lbs. It is a really beautiful piece. One leg is just a hair shorter than the other three which was a bother, but easily resolved. For a solid wood table this size, and free shipping, it is an outstanding value. Also, very important, this table arrived fully assembled and extremely well crated.I was very pleased about that. Outstanding !! Richard Brown, Kernersville NC
