A great alternative to the GoPro
I've had this for several months now and put it through a LOT of heavy use. I have not written a review earlier because I wanted to give it time to settle in.Two things stand out that make this a superior product:1: Price! This has pretty much the same guts as the GoPro. It produces similar image quality. It's build quality is pretty good. It has a screen, it has its own lights and comes with a TON of accessories. You cannot beat this for the money. Period. For the money, the GoPro is overpriced.2: Interchangeable lenses. That alone should be worth the price of admission. I regularly plop an infrared lens on this sucker with *NO MODIFICATIONS*. When I'm done, I drop a standard super wide angle on it. All of them work with the underwater case, so no surprises. I can easily go out and buy a handful of other lenses in a variety of angles...again, no modification. Period. That should sell you.Other facts.Battery life: About 90 minutes. Buy a spare, they're cheap. It does run while charging, so I have a small battery pack I can use for longer runs.Accessories: The plastic waterproof housing is awesome, no complaints! I use it all the time. The other accessories are good as well. This thing sits on a motorcycle some of the time and has had no issues.Image quality: It's a small, small, small camera...it's good, but don't expect miracles. If I'm using it at night I have an IR spotlight and use the IR lens. Other factors will be effected by the quality of the lens you use.Sound quality: ...well, that sucks. Again, it's a small, small camera. I didn't expect to use the microphone on this thing so no big loss (thus the 4 stars instead of 5, really).Build: Metal body, with exception of the battery cover and the little rubber flap over the ports. The flap is a bit tight and gets in the way some times, but no big deal. The battery cover can be a pain at first (stiff), but that gets better and never seems to be "too loose".View Screen: It's tiny and I wish you could leave it on longer. It's decent for the size, so again, I'm happy with it. You can buy alternatives to use through the mini-HDMI port if you want bigger, full-time viewing.All-in-all, I highly recommend this camera!

Buy with caution!!!
Saved up some money and did a little research, before settling on this camera, I am very disappointed:Cons:1. This camera is built very cheaply, I was trying to put it on my motorcycle via the mount that I had for my first camera, using the threaded mount at the bottom of the camera, it seemed a little shaky so I barely snugged it, and I heard a noise, so I took it back off to see what had happened, and there was a crackin the bottom. That told me that it would never safely stay attached to the bike going at speed.2. so I put it in its waterproof case and mounted it via one of the various gopro style mounts, shoy pretty good video at first, but as the camera got warmed up it fogged the inside of the case, which resulted in a poorer quality video.3. Camera is hard to see if you have it in its case and are outside, constantly trying to see if it was actually recording.4. Hooked it up to both of my computers one Vista, the other Win 7, neither program would recognize the camera, and their don't seem to be any driver software available.5. So I have to take the micro SD card out and insert it in my laptop reader, which is a pain in the rear!!Pros:The camera comes with a variety of attachment accessories and there are a lot of accessories that can be bought for it.I would not recommend buying this camera unless you can get as lifetime repair warranty, because it is very cheaply made and is definitely not made for rougher action shoots!!

A real challenger for GoPro
I have now had my Camone for about 2 weeks, and have tried it on a car, bike and push bike and it has been great. The HD quality is very good when run through a full HD TV and especially good when the case is not being used.Although as this stage there are no other lenses available, I have been advised by ACME that they are not far off.Lots of accessories in the kit and the dive case is very good with access to all functions even with gloves on.Playback works very well with VLC Player which Camone recommend and overall I am very satisfied with this product. It is so small that everyone wants to have a look and the Gopro guys I know have been well impressed with the quality and all this for $250 it is steal especially when you see the fact that the LCD screen comes standard and this is an expensive extra for a Gopro'er.All up, very good.

Amazing product
To get 1080p HD out of such a tiny POV camera is amazing. I have produced several test videos using the camone, and when produced with a decent video editor, I am amazed at the crisp/clear quality, and that's just the beginning. What I haven't read about in reviews is the versatility of this little phenomenon. If your only mount avaiable is upside down, the camera has settings for 180 degree rotation and mirror image. This means while it is physically upside down, the data will come out right side up and in the correct dimension. For example, I took some test video with the camera upside down. No problem to right it in the editor like you would rotate a picture, but when I watched it, my vehicle was in the left lane and the view of me driving put me on the passenger side of the car. No problem with this camera in making those settings ahead of time. The ability to change lens is very helpful, depending on what you want your video to look like. The menus are easily accessible, and learning the camera doesn't take a rocket scientist. Downloading to the PC is too easy. Much more to this little camera than meets the eye, and the price is very affordable for such a well qualified device.
