Terrible Lifespan
We bought the 4000k lights in September 2019 for our remodel and installed 28 of them in October 2019. As of today, 7 of them no longer work; just this week alone 3 of them have stopped working. Right before they went out, each one would flicker for a few minutes, become very dim, then completely stop working. We are really disappointed in the lifespan of the lights; 6 months is hardly anytime. We did appreciate how easy they were to install and how much light they gave off.

Good looking lights
I love these LEDs for my soffits. Made installation super simple and they add the right touch. They work well with the dimmer switch I bought also. Only issue I have with the product is the wiring box. With a 4 inch hole drilled out, it was hard to get the box through the hole with wiring installed. I ended up breaking the ends off that allow you to screw the wiring box down and then they fit no problem. If possible, I'd find a way to make that box a little smaller but not too small as it's hard to get the wires to fit. Also, a little more length and a little more stripped off the ends of the wires would make things a lot easier for wiring. But all in all I can't complain, they look great!

About 1/2 did not work.
These lights are great when they work. I ordered the 16 pack 4” ultra-slim LED downlighting in 4000k. The lights were packaged well, looked protected and delivered without any visual damage. I am happy with other Sunco products that I’ve put in my house and these are easier to install than the can-lights. Unfortunately about 1/2 of my 16 lights themselves do not work and I have found a few of the junction boxes are faulty as well. The bad J boxes either did not provide power to the light or caused flickering. After swapping lights/j boxes around, I found that the j boxes were the cause of the flickering and not the light itself. I am hoping for good customer service with Sunco and they make this right because the lights are actually great in many ways when they work. Aside from the disappointment of multiple failures with a brand new product, the biggest frustration is the wasted time spent.

Great looking and bright. Great customer service regarding 6 faulty lights
Update July 7, 2020: Had one more light go dim. Not sure why that is happening. I registered for the 2 year warranty, so will hope to get another free replacement. Overall still happy, but I am questioning long term performance. We will see....They look very modern and bright. Overall happy, but unknown long term durability. We bought 48 of the 6" slim LED lights.6 of them had faulty electronic J-boxes causing then lights to appear very dim. It was 2 weeks past the return window so I called Sunco direct, gave them the order number and they are sending 6 replacements! Thats great customer service.

Easy to install, Great Lights, great value - Use a 6" hole saw****
They are bright smooth even lights, I got the warm white 2700k and they are warm, yet BRIGHT! If your looking for flexibility, either install them on a dimmer, or buy the selectable version with the selectable brightness. the soft white are more of a common yellow light for a soft light, the warm white still have the yellowish tint that looks incandescent, but are VERY Bright* anything brighter is VERY BRIGHT and gets more white/Blue with brightness. I installed 48 throughout my finished basement and love the lighting, Dimmable yes, but be careful not to get a cheap dimmer or they will flicker a bit at lower lighting levels. They are sturdy, easy and simple to install. If you're installing its much better to buy a 6" hole saw. (they're around $10-15 on amazon -and make the job so much easier and cleaner) - I read the specs and they said to cut a hole 6-1/8" to 6-1/2" so I ordered a 6.25" hole saw, and it worked fine but there was a 1/4" gap all the way around the light in the hole (the gasket sealed this and it was no issue), I mention this to say that if you're going to buy a hole saw, but a 6" hole saw. the light fits just fine and its a snug fit -no gap and no need to center the light in the hole you cut.The Junction boxes are abs plastic, which is fine but you will want to get 3/8" NM Box connectors (the black plastic type work great for Romex, or use metal NM Box Connectors for MC).The Pigtails have a quick connector which is great for installation without the lights, then quickly connecting the light itself once the ceiling is ready. The Pigtail could be a bit longer, but its totally workable.Customer service is awesome, just email them with your order number and if you have any issues and they will ship you replacements. I had a defective junction box/transformer, and they promptly shipped me a new light assembly.

Great LED lights!
These lights are amazing! I purchased these for my basement (new construction). I installed 17 so far in an area that is about 26x16. Mine are the 3000k color temperature ones and they are amazingly bright. The wiring enclosure in these is quite small and with three wire nuts on #14 wire it can be a challenge to stuff it all in and be able to close the door. I had one defective junction box but contacted Sunco with the purchase information and they immediately got back to me and sent out a whole new light! Thank you! Great service! Also, get the updated dimmer list from their website. The list on the box is not complete. I used a Legrand RHCL453PTCCCV6 which can handle up to 450 W of these. Be careful because some dimmers only can go up to 150 W LED. That would be about 15 of these lights. Not EXACTLY SURE what the input power is, however, since the packaging only lists output power 10W. I’m sure this higher power dimmer can handle it, though. This is set up as 3-way with a simple 3-way toggle at the other end. Set the light intensity at the dimmer and it stays there whether operated at the dimmer or 3-way toggle switch. Great light, relatively easy install, no huge can to mount and very little clearance needed.

Three Stars
Spring was too tight to properly insert lights

Build quality of transformer box
I sent the lights back as the small transformer box (in my opinion) that is made from plastic seemed rather poor quality and thin walled. The area for wires going in was rather small too and only looked like it allowed for two cables (14/2). Another, and the main reason for sending them back was that the transformer box had no Canadian standards approved marking either stamped in or stuck on. I told my electrical inspector this and he stated that they should have the Mark applied. The actual LED light did have an acceptable mark.Never plugged them in but the 16 pack does seem good value for money but a repurchased as set that has a metal box and approved markings
