Common Sense Goods Vegetable Spiral Slicer Bundle with Recipes & Cleaning Brush Make Zucchini Spaghetti Pasta Veggie Noodles

I've been curious about these little gizmos for a while now, but never got around to getting one until recently.I have to say, I'm impressed. The spiralizer is small enough to fit in your hand but really delivers in veggie noodles. I made veggie spaghetti the first night with a combination of zucchini and yellow squash noodles. Though many recipes recommend you don't cook the noodles, I heated mine by immersing them in boiling water for about 90 seconds and draining in a colander. Then I heaped on the sauce. Really good. And the funny thing was that it has a very similar gratification as regular pasta noodles. Without even trying I got about 2 cups of veggies in me (nice bonus because I just don't eat as many veggies as I should).Also the recipe book that they include (digital pdf) is quite nice with really pretty photographs and some very impressive recipes. Oh and the little cleaning brush really helps to work out the little strands that can catch in the blades.So for me, it was a nice addition to my kitchen tools and gadgets. Can't wait till summer when my garden is in and I can spiralize all my fresh veggies into awesome salads and stir frys.

I had thought about buying something like this in the past, and when I was able to purchase for only $1.99, I thought it was a great deal.After using it a few times on cucumbers and zucchini, I’ve found it easy to use, and I’m pleased with the “noodles” that it creates. I haven’t tried using it on harder vegetables, such as carrots yet, but so far, I’m happy with this product—so happy, in fact, that I’m planning to order a second one (and pay the retail price) for our cottage so that I can have one available for use at both homes.

We just tried our new spiral slicer at dinner tonight and we were surprised that it worked so well. Before trying this kitchen gadget, I was skeptical but curiously optimistic at the same time. Zucchini noodles were easy to make and the whole family ate them which also surprised me. It did feel like we wasted a bit more of the zucchini than I would have preferred but overall it was a success! I'm glad I bought it.

My friends all told me stories about a) how awesome a spiralizer is but b) how awful it is to clean and work with. I have to say, this product is just AMAZING! I had no problems cleaning it (the little brush made it so simple) and it took NO TIME at all to make my "pasta." I've quickly become addicted to spiralizing!! I've made all sorts of zoodle pastas, pasta salads, and added vegetables to everything under the sun! I ordered this with visions of making smooth juicy zucchini noodles. While this spiral slicer spreads fine it seems to waste a lot of the veggie, about 1/3 of the zucchini....a little wasteful in my opinion. Easy to wash, just throw it in the dishwasher....after picking out the scraps left in the teeth

I don't know if I am using it wrong but my veggie noodles do not look like the picture. BUT, it is easy to use, has sharp blades, easy to clean, and it has worked better than anything else I have used. Plus the price can't be beat.

I liked it at first, but then realized it's really a chore to use at times. And I misplaced the little brush to clean it which is essential for getting zucchini out of the blades. I've seen other spiral slicers that I would like better. I don't want to buy another one though because it's not a tool I use all that often.It does spiralize zucchini very well, it's just not that easy to do.

Slices well, but the top piece doesn't really work to turn the vegetable all that well. It doesn't slice the whole vegetable, so there is some waste. The brush included for cleaning is great.
